I <3 Cardiff. Not for the obvious reasons, just because I'm used to Leicester and London, shitholes. Cardiff's a really quite scenic city center, quite green and fresh. Some of the 'burbs are dives, though. And avoid Splott. :P

You'll love it. Last year was my first year as a stoodent and i've had the time of me life, can't wait to go back in September.

Just hope you not picked owt to strenuous to study because all that work gets in the way of your path to alcohol. Enjoy it now because in 3 years time its classed as alcoholism :thumbup:

I'm from there, mate!

The City its self is nice, plenty of clubs, bars and shops - and decent people.

As opposed to the ground - SH!T, fans - Stuck up, arogant nutters who arent going to get anywhere with their lives!

(not all though, mostly the grange end lot)

More than that I'd say!!

The women are pretty fit there (I went to the union just before terms end and the birds were all mint), but they can punch above their weight in Tightboro because of the overwhelming number of foreskin, don't even bother with FND. You might find youself seeking 'crumbs' before the nights end and by that I mean fat hairy girls because they are usually the only ones left. Stick to the dirty local slappers in town, they're the best :thumbup:

lol Thanks for the advice.

I fancy my chances with the mint birds on campus though, however if i fail, i will have no problem settling for the dirty slappers in town. :thumbup:

Alot depends who you end up in halls with, hopefully some fitties. Fingers crossed

Oh and learn how to fight, you'll be needing it when you hit Lboro town on Friday/Sat nights. Beating up the locals was one of my favorites

They had a pretty damn fit woman's hockey team when I was on tour in Easter.

I don't know whether my views aresomewhat biased after the "licking chocolate off each other's exposed breasts" incident, but I enjoyed watching them.

Its been confirmed that I'm going to DMU in Leicester! :D The Graphics Design course there looked FAB and so I chose them over the course that the Uni of Leeds offered me... a wise choice? We will have to wait and see!

...............and Ely, Llanrumney, St Mellons, Fairwater, Caerau and most of inner Cardiff!

I am by the way a member of Roath Labour Club which is in Splott :blink::unsure::blink:

I did the Design Management course at DMU a while back, (erm, yes, several years ago in fact! :blush:) :P

The graphics course is pretty cool and has a good reputation, as far as I know. Is it still in the Fletcher Building, or has someone since come to their senses and demolished the place? And does it still have those silly 'jump on - jump off' lifts that were always getting stuck? :dunno:

Anyhow, congrats on getting a place and make sure you take full advantage of the student union - famed for its cheap beer (not that I ever tried, you understand - I was far too busy studying... obviously :whistle:)!! :thumbup:
