walshiesgirl1968 Posted 7 August 2007 Posted 7 August 2007 Hi everyone, I've been reading this board for a while and thought it was about time I participated! Looking forward to some nice friendly banter with you all so now I've introduced myself I'll go again! Bye!
James. Posted 7 August 2007 Posted 7 August 2007 Another one of Walshie's conquests comes out the woodwork. Welcome. What are your thoughts on the coming season?
The People's Hero Posted 7 August 2007 Posted 7 August 2007 Hi everyone, I've been reading this board for a while and thought it was about time I participated! Looking forward to some nice friendly banter with you all so now I've introduced myself I'll go again!Bye! A Leicester fan in Worthing? Wow. I've been heading down to Worthing most weekends for a while now. Never seen you out and about in your colours. Having said that, haven't been wearing mine either.
walshiesgirl1968 Posted 7 August 2007 Author Posted 7 August 2007 Always nervous, but also excited! I'm a born pessimist unfortunately so am never very confident but just hoping the players gel quickly as it's a tough league. Really wanting to hang onto Matty Fryatt too, I know the feeling is split on here but I honestly think that if he can avoid injury he will be a great asset, also my 9yr old daughter is in love with him and will be distraught is he goes!!

Agreed about MF. Do you get to many games? Don't suppose many are too local to you are they?
The People's Hero Posted 7 August 2007 Posted 7 August 2007 I'm always out and about in my LCFC gear so if you do see me, come and say hi! My girlfriend is from Rustington. I'm trying to convert her to LCFC... but she hates football. She really couldn't care less about LCFC.
James. Posted 7 August 2007 Posted 7 August 2007 I'm trying to convert her to LCFC... but she hates football. She really couldn't care less about LCFC. I have similar problems with mine. I believe that persistence is the key. Surely I can eventually annoy her into supporting them...

walshiesgirl1968 Posted 7 August 2007 Author Posted 7 August 2007 Could be worse, my hubby's a Palace fan!!! Luckily my 2 daughters have my genes and took a shine to the foxes quite early, may have had something do do with me threatening to have them adopted if they supported anyone else!

walshiesgirl1968 Posted 7 August 2007 Author Posted 7 August 2007 Agreed about MF.Do you get to many games? Don't suppose many are too local to you are they? I usually get to about 7/8 home games and try and do a couple of away games too. Am hoping to move back up but all depends on hubby's job so if I come back I'll be getting a season ticket. Most local to here are Brighton and Portsmouth but now we're all in different leagues I can't go to them but usually go to Palace and at least 1 other.

I'm looking forwards to it (if our club ever sell me any bloody tickets).
