Brainy Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 Well to be honest, I want the top players playing, not the players who are specialists at Twenty20. Then i'd get people slating me because I'd say we should get the Twenty20 specialists if that ^ goes wrong. Sorry about my 'cricket language', i'm not a huge fan.

Luke Wright - Failed Darren Maddy - Failed James Kirtley - Not even featured Vikram Solanki - Not even featured. Oh, Charles Colville - you are a bellend And Pietersen deserved to ge Run Out because he was slow to start off with running-wise, then deliberately ran into Pollock.

Milky Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 The KP "run out" was a discraceful decision, cus Pollock the cheating bastard blatantly obstructed him. Also, why the fook was Snape in ahead of Dimi! Snape wasted two overs of the game with just 7 runs, whilst the big hitter was sitting in the dugout. That bastard Morkel won SA the game. At 100-6 or so we were in control. Maddy should've played aswell! Just NZ and India to come then We can beat India, so the NZ clash tomorrow morning at 9am is huge.

Pollock, i believe, had no intention of blocking him.
filbertway Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 England and the english are just all mainly losers these days. I blame the government and schools for taking competitiveness out of kids at a young age.
Milky Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 IMO, KP ran across the wicket, when he should run in a straight line. Pollock, i believe, had no intention of blocking him. Pollock knew exactly what he was doing. I've studied the replays many times.
Joe. Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 Very disappointing. That game was there for the taking, but as usual England seem to mess it up. That KP run out was a terrible decision. It was clear that Pollock obstructed him. So, seems we've got to beat N.Z to get any chance of making it through.....
Micky Ruddle Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 Pollock knew exactly what he was doing. I've studied the replays many times. Aye, so have i. But, thats your opinion and this is mine. Only Bollocks know what he intended to do.
Milky Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 England and the english are just all mainly losers these days. I blame the government and schools for taking competitiveness out of kids at a young age. Yeh, like bullshit such as scrapping sports days because they don't want people to be losers. School sport is a complete joke.
Bert Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 Pollock knew exactly what he was doing. I've studied the replays many times. Must be true then. England just seem to flop in the limited overs games.
Milky Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 We will get better though, the signs are there. It was a fine line between winning and losing today.
Joe. Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 We will get better though, the signs are there. It was a fine line between winning and losing today. Yep, if it hadn't have been for that one over of Scofield's things could have been different And obviously if we'd been better in the field
Micky Ruddle Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 Wright and Prior cannot open for shiznit. Thats what gets me. Why pressure Wrighty at the top, when quite clearly he bats at 7/8
purpleronnie Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 Yet again we pick the wrong team and fail to think when they are at the crease. Towards the end the english batsmen were moving so wide they just followed the batsman if they had moved back practically every bowl would have been a wide, we really have to think more. I agree about wright and prior...no good. How many runs has wright scored in 3 innings, I know he's had 2 ducks.
Bert Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 Wright and Prior cannot open for shiznit. Thats what gets me. Why pressure Wrighty at the top, when quite clearly he bats at 7/8 Does he? Im sure the England camp know what they're doing. Wright's opened every game so far, so it's pretty clear to the managment that they think he's good enough to open.
Joe. Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 Surely Maddy has to come in for Wright next match?
Milky Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 Wright opens for his club, but got his 50 on debut batting at 7. Perhaps 6 or 7 would be better for him. Less pressure.
Micky Ruddle Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 Wright opens for his club, but got his 50 on debut batting at 7. Perhaps 6 or 7 would be better for him. Less pressure. Exaccleh
Brainy Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 Pollock knew exactly what he was doing. I've studied the replays many times. I thought the same, though I thought i'd get slated for being biased. Which I am.
Bert Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 So he opens for his club? Didn't he get called up for this world cup because of his twenty20 club form? Maybe there is a bit more pressure, but this for him (being a twenty20 specialist of course) should be is element.

He got 50 at 7 though. Hmmm....i hope th emanagement know what they are doing. I hate to think they would ruin young Luke Wright like they did to Darren Maddy, when he got his first break in International Cricket.
Geo V Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 Wright opens for his club, but got his 50 on debut batting at 7. Perhaps 6 or 7 would be better for him. Less pressure. I think they should keep him down the order as he obviously struggles against the opening pace attack. We need a miracle to progress in this world cup now after todays defeat.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 17 September 2007 Posted 17 September 2007 Aussies Dominated - Brett Lee hatrick
Joe. Posted 17 September 2007 Posted 17 September 2007 Prior looks set to be out. Solanki could replace him....
