In an interview after the game with a german player the first question was:"In which department do you think you were better than them today?"Even the female interviewers are a joke.Debenhams?! I only listened to the last ten mins but at times the co-commentator, again a female didn't have a clue and at times was silent. I`d really love to know if women actually would prefer two experienced male commentators on games or like the fact that more women are involved, even if inferior. I personally think that to bring in female hosts to these shows and female commentators actually disvalues it. More and more women go to football and some I am friends with know much more than me on the game and they must cringe at these errors on the pitch and off it? The list of male co commentators who are completely usless twats is quite, quite long, so I hardly think weather the one you listened to was male or female really makes much different.

Should've heard the German commentary, jubilating and praising their team for their "great efforts". Well, look at Argentina. It's like headless chicken on the loose.

Speaking of dodgey goalkeeping, i've just watched the highlights of the USA game against China. It finished 2-2, with two of the goals due to goalkeping clangers. It's comedy if nothing else.

They have been all over the Japanese and really do deserve to win after creating loads of chances. OK the Japanese scored a wonder free kick but England deserved to win. I must also eat a slice of humble pie after yesterdays moan at the comedy football because the bits of the game I have seen (trying to play poker online and look left towards the TV ) have been of a very good standard. Gutted for the lasses though! Well played the girls.

Geo V Posted 11 September 2007 Author Posted 11 September 2007 How good is Kelly Smith BTW?? She is a slimmed down and quicker version of Lee Trundle! Also it was nice to see that Edgar Davids has gone into management with our girls. Good move that as he is very experienced.
