eaststandtom Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 Will he be able to take us up... and then more importantly keep us there? I very much doubt it... why? i cant say yes for 100% but where was that certain in any manager we have ever add, o'neill, little, allen etc. all i will say is the guy has the proven credentials at this level premiership? who knows but we have spent 3 years in the bottom of the championship so lets concentrate on getting there first
DanTheFox07 Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 Ive Always thought Megson is a muppet, perhaps the main reason mandaric has employed him is because Megson won`t question it when he tries to sign has been`s like hasselbaink. Don`t know how mandaric can justify employing this guy? he was going on about getting to the top of the mountain on sky sports! Well Ill tell u what ill be pushing him and megson off it how about that.
Peacefulred Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 Will he be able to take us up... and then more importantly keep us there? I very much doubt it... Megson did do alright at west brom but when he was a forest a few west brom fans told me they all hated him even when they were doing well because they played the most boring mindless football they have ever seen, he brought that hoofball to forest...chances are he'll bring it to leicester I cant wait for tuesdays game now, you could beat us 10-0 and im still going to enjoy it.

(you'll win.sods law says so. adds fuel to the anti megson fire.) that style of football will contradict the classic blend of total football and steely defence that city have played for the past few years

Foxhateram Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 P!SS OFF Everyone welcome the Ginger army into control of the club!!! up with the gingers!!!

I bet those WBA fans still got very pissed when they went up though. And I bet they cheered every boring goal they scored. F***st were in the sh it when he took you on anyway. If he inherited a load of numpties, perhaps hoofball was the only way he stood a chance Everyone said MA would bring hoofball to us, and were wrong. Who's to say Megson will be the same? He's certainly going to be refreshed after his break from footy.

sdb Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 scary appointment. anyway lets just give him our backing. clean slate. we're all pulling in the same direction etc etc! and we've got Taggs which is great
Milky Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 As an aside, Taggart doesn't even have the coaching badges.
Leonisco Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 I was proper pissed off when I heard this, really didn't want him to get the job. Boring personality matched with boring style of football. But I'm prepared to accept it and get behind him. To be fair, he did a pretty good job at West Brom. Slating him before he's even started won't help anyone.
Bluefoxtim Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 He is a straight, honest guy who impressed me in the talks we had. You can look him straight in the eye and what you see is what you get, a strong personality who can take us forward. MM has said that about every manager we have had
The People's Hero Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 As an aside, Taggart doesn't even have the coaching badges. Aye, but he's a magnificent creature.
Leonisco Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 As an aside, Taggart doesn't even have the coaching badges. I don't envy the man who has to tell him that.
Bluefoxtim Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 As an aside, Taggart doesn't even have the coaching badges. I'm pretty sure he has?.....
Tabou Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 Ive Always thought Megson is a muppet, perhaps the main reason mandaric has employed him is because Megson won`t question it when he tries to sign has been`s like hasselbaink. Megson left WBA (apparently) as he had a falling-out with the chairman over team selection and transfers. That, coupled with the fact that he has a reputation as an argumentative little so and so, renders your post totally and utterly rubbish! Not being harsh, you should engage brain before typing tosh
The People's Hero Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 I'm pretty sure he has?..... Yeah, but they are made by Mrs Taggart out of an old safety pin and some laminated cardboard.
Milky Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 I'm pretty sure he has?..... I guarantee Tags doesn't have all the badges.

Not being harsh, you should engage brain before typing tosh didnt the chairman resign after they were relegated the 1st time becuas megson was in uproar over getting no money for transfer fees? bodes well!!! ha ha
Mickey O'Neil Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 Not a fantastic appointment by any stretch of the imagination, but the Keegan rumour didn't exactly fill me with joy either. I'll still be at the Walkers every week, hoofball or not. TBH, I don't know where Leicester fans are coming from sometimes. We're not exactly a club everyone wants to manage or play for. If we go up, that might change a little. He's here now, at least give him a feckin chance.

And funnily enough i dont pay much attention to his previous managerial postion`s because i don`t care! Plus Mandaric isnt exaclty ur average chairman is he so can`t compare that situation to this, why don`t u engage ur brain and carry on being the supplying us all with more facts about megson because im bothered

FilboFox Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 Megson Out? Someone always starts threads about this so why not me!?!
Thracian Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 thats him buggered then... I'm surprised MM can still look anyone in the eye.
Daggers Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 I'm surprised MM can still look anyone in the eye. I often wonder if LD3 can do that too...
