AmericanScott Posted 28 June 2008 Posted 28 June 2008 he won't sign for me. the sod.dunno if he's been mentioned, but anyone starting a new game should by bogdan stancu he is awesome and very cheap (175k i paid) sold him to sunderland (against my wishes) for 10 mil at the end of that first season, then got danny haynes who is not as good but still bangs them in. but believe me stancu is fantastic OMG Stancu is the best! I found him on my first season and paid 1M for him. Since then, he's worth 33.5M and has 30+ goals in 26 appearances this season. He's never leaving my team! Bogdan Stancu duh duh duh duh

It's such a hard league it's not funny, I've been an FM'er for years and actually thought FM2008 was piss easy but then I started a game as Independiente and can't win 2 on the trot to save my life.

I think the league's so hard because every player is stupidly fast. Defenders have 18 for pace, midfielders have loads of pace and strikers, ironically are the slowest. It's crazy. I can't crack it.

Kept them up, just with players like David Nugent and Ferrie Bodde. Sold the whole squad. Bought in 24 new players, 6 from the youth team and am 6th in the league after 4 games of the new season. It's something like the year 2013 so most players aren't recognizable or from my youth team. Darkzzz_ Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 I got sacked today by my team, i am, or should i say, was manager of Varteks in the croatia league, very hard, won the cup but finished 6th out of 12 teams . I am now waiting on the Messina job in Serie B, they have offered me a deal, but it has took like 3 months and still nothing. I did put the offer on hold mind you. I need some real cheap, quality players, any ideas?

act smiley Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 I just signed a certain ex-Premier League defender on a free transfer for my Conference National Basingstoke team. Good business I thought. First game, a money-spinning friendly against Motherwell, gives away two penalties and makes a dreadful backpass that forces another defender to hack a player down in the box. Still, no own goals yet.
