The People's Hero Posted 17 September 2007 Posted 17 September 2007 Can anyone give me any general hints on this? I'm playing masterleague on 3 stars I think it is. I'm pretty good at keeping clean sheets but just end up playing out nil nils or the very occasional 1-0 victory. Is this because the strikers you start with are appalling? I always used to score from a lot of crosses (on previous versions), but I now find it almost impossible to win headers in the box when attacking (although no problem when defending) - is this to do with the timing of the 'button press' to 'shoot'?
Stuliasz Posted 17 September 2007 Posted 17 September 2007 A lot of the shooting is about timing. I have more success just lightly tapping shoot to slot it under the keeper than blasting it. Heading is difficult unless you pull away from your marker and are completely free. In terms of how to attack, I find the best method is to constantly keep a close eye on the radar to see who is making the best run around you and use that as a basis for your passing. Its a lot easier to say all of this than put it in to practice, but keep going and the goals will come ;-)

Yes, also alot to do with the quality of the cross.
The People's Hero Posted 17 September 2007 Author Posted 17 September 2007 Yes, also alot to do with the quality of the cross. I thought that might be the case as at the end of the first season, I snapped up a new gen winger (for a small fortune in wages) with good pace and great crossing. First few games (pre-season) I scored a few headers (Huylens - you beauty!) but unfortunately, some Dutch team (ADO DEN HAAG?) injured him

R2 I think it is, That will just whip the ball instead of you having to judge the power yourself.

No edit or anything?
Manwell Pablo Posted 17 September 2007 Posted 17 September 2007 Yeah, PS2. I have a 360 but not set it up yet in my new flat. Also, isn't PES6 sh it on the 360? No edit or anything? It lacks a few features yeah. I still bought it though, I was top 1000 on the Ranked list at one point .
The People's Hero Posted 17 September 2007 Author Posted 17 September 2007 It lacks a few features yeah. I still bought it though, I was top 1000 on the Ranked list at one point . Wow. You must be quite good at it then? I managed to get really good at PES5, but PES6 seems much more difficult to me. It just doesn't suit my style of play as much I think. To be honest, I haven't dedicated much time to it. PES7 is bound to be out soon isn't it?
Dames Posted 17 September 2007 Posted 17 September 2007 I find cutting in from the wings and laying it off or actually taking it on with the winger the easier way to score on PES 6.
Bluefoxtim Posted 17 September 2007 Posted 17 September 2007 Instead of just pressing circle to cross, double tap circle to cross to the near post, triple tap to drill one in low. Also, change the camera to 'wide' you get a much better view of the pitch and players who are available. PES7 is bound to be out soon isn't it?End of October I think. Might push me over the edge to buy a PS3

Alexikokopops Posted 17 September 2007 Posted 17 September 2007 I don't care I beat you.Twice. O Fooking LE One was penalties, that doesn't count

Well if Martin Allen goes there it's a guranteed 3rd round FA cup fixture.
Manwell Pablo Posted 17 September 2007 Posted 17 September 2007 One was penalties, that doesn't count It does due to the fact that I was playing on the PS2 and I've played Pro Evo 6 on the PS2 about 8 times.

BigGibbo Posted 17 September 2007 Posted 17 September 2007 One was penalties, that doesn't count God i hate the mates of mine that say that when playing football! If penalties didn't count englands last 40 years of football might have been less painful
