Some called him negative, some called him a fool, but its Megson who's laughing, now we're going though!

It kinda works... I ain't exactly a poet but its true!

Here we go

I'm giving him support, and he's doing well so far (sort of) but does it really warrent a thread like this, Whats the odds of a Megson Out thread if we lost this game?

Posted

not only that - but the chambers substitution was the same as against qpr, pretty much, and obviously it cost us...um, no we won...

off to watch partridge.

Well.... I guess an appreciation thread was over the top...

Its the post match euphoria... gets to me every time when we win! :D

But still... the record under Megson so far is Wins: 1 Draws: 1 Loses: 0

Queens Park Rangers 1 Leicester City 1

Nottingham Forest 2 Leicester City 3

lol

He's had no time to influence much at all.

This would still have been true if we'd lost this evening.

Give him a couple of months to settle in and impose his vision of what is needed, and at that stage people will be able to form a view of how good or bad a job he's done.

Nobody would be saying that if we'd lost though, just like he got the brunt of the blame for drawing with QPR when he was not even in charge.

Hey, megson shown us the other side to him by sticking it up them forest boys...I loved it that he took the piss by going into the technical area for a minute to take it all in.....then swiftly pissed off....

Nice one... id have done it....

Yes but Megson will arrange the team... not the flaming flowers outside the training ground! lol

too true  we've got a manager that is more interested in forest not the flowers

Let's no go overboard, we've scraped a win against a weak League 1 side, hardly going to make us promotion favourites is it? Still a lot of work to be done to improve our league performances, but credit to Megson and the players for this win where it is due.

League One or not - cup games can often go either way.

They were up for it as it gives them a chance to do something with their season.

And the fact we struggled to beat them suggests a good cup tie and not necessarily a poor performance.

We just need to play like that every week, ideally somewhat better.

Megson should take no praise for this at all,he hid away for nearly all of the match when he should have been out there...pathetic coward!

On the contrary - he deserves EVERY praise.

What other manager has been under instruction to give the opposition a goal start, and still beat them anyway?

Get rid of this thread now. We were lucky tonight. We played with 8 defenders.

 Keep the faith!?! How is that keeping the faith!?!

Whatever the score, we were sh*te tonight, his Stearman sub WAS stupid - even if he did score.

A few minutes before there were quite a few singing Allen's name and getting ready to boo the team off
