Joey out against Forest

Recommended Posts

Joey out for the games against Forest and Burnley after picking up his 10th yellow card of the season.

Do you think we will go back to 5 across the middle ?

Who do you want to replace him ?

Who do you actually think will replace him ?

if we have a midfielder out why convert back to 5 accross the middle when we are weakened in the area. We will prob stick with a 4-4-2 with Hughes and Williams in the middle this does mean there will be a space on the bench either for scot gemmill or if he can pull his finger Dawson

Because Hughes and Williams are both attacking creative get in their box type midfieders. With Joey out we need someone to do the defensive holding role. The only one we have is Gemmill - unless he brings Tiatto into the middle.

Fcuk it its Forest!! just attack them with all the fire power we have!! Nalis can always be placed in the middle!!!

Bad idea bringing Tats in the middle!

CL says he is not ready yet.

He said that about Stearman when he first arrived but he's not let anyone down has he.

Done a smashing job so far hasn't he old Gemmill :ermm: . No question it will be Williams and Hughes versus Forest, I'm not sure that'll be the approach for our first trip of the week to Turf Moor ( ;) ) But I think Williams if asked could play a deeper role, after all thats the kind of position he had at Forest I believe.

Dawson isn't ready, don't blood certain players too early, if Levein thinks next season might be the time to give him a chance then so be it, he has some good backroom staff in Kenny Black and Rob Kelly who know all about youth policies, so lets see what happens!

Bad news about Joey.

Not wishing to crank the pressure up for what is already a massive game, but this is a massive 6-pointer. We are only 7 points off the relegation places. We need to win this to pull ourselves clear of the possibility that we might get sucked into the battle beneath us. Meanwhile, Forest will be going all for it because of the position they are in. This game is massive.

With that in mind. Dawson should not be thrown into this game. It's unfair on him.

I think Hughes and Williams together in a four is unsafe defensively. I'd probably go for five across the midfield Gemmill alongside Williams and Hughes. That way we can compensate for defensive frailties. Also might help us stop Commons. If we can stop him, we should stop Forest.

Other outside possibilities if we get desperate with players is to try Canero in the centre (similar to Callum Davidson two seasons ago). Although this could just be desperation at the lack of good options we have

I agree with all of that.

The main thing about the F%&$£*t game is we must not lose it. A draw would not be a disaster still keeps them 11 points below us.

Therefore flood the midfield.

We cannot trust Williams, Nalis or Hughes to do any good defensively. They will be rolled over by Megson's lot now he has got them going a bit.

Bad news , Joey has been playing really well just recently . We will miss his energy & capablity of breaking up the other teams attacks ! Which helps the team out alot

Yep I think we will miss Joey in midfield - I'd take the risk against Forest by playing Hughes and Williams but that could easily backfire.

We could risk it against Forest i think ;)

We'll score goals with the Hughes-Williams partnership, but can one of them be reigned in enough to sit and hold at times? Only time will tell. ican't see any other partnership starting...

I am sure he will play Tiatto in that holding role and bring in Nalis to play a narrow left role.;)

I think that's what he'll go for, we definitely need a ball winner in the centre of midfield. Hughes/Nalis/Williams cannot break up attacks like Joey/Tiatto. Gemmill can't break up attacks either, he is just someone who retains the ball and doesn't do much else...

Dawson? erm, no thanks.

Gemmil please.

**** off.

It embarasses me that Dawson gets over-shadowed by Gemmill. He's what makes this country shit.
