Joe. Posted 17 November 2007 Posted 17 November 2007 Tigana would be my preferred choice, but I wouldn't be too bothered if it was Holloway. I just want somebody, as well as having the tactical know-how, who would put the players into touch and bollock them when required.
SilverFox Posted 17 November 2007 Posted 17 November 2007 Why would people be so dissapointed with Holloway? He knows the league well and he has done excellently with Plymouth with bugger all money. I think with a bit of backing he could do really well for us. Tigana is just a name. He may have done pretty well with Fulham but this league has improved quite a bit since the last time he managed here. I think because his has been the only name banded about for so long a lot of people have jumped on the bandwagon knowing very little about the man. I would not be dissapointed with Holloway. And if it is either him or Tigana I will be right behind them. This next appointment needs to be longer than a manager of the month competition.
teblin Posted 17 November 2007 Posted 17 November 2007 He's not.He ruled himself out. According to hearsay in a press box.
teblin Posted 17 November 2007 Posted 17 November 2007 According to hearsay in a press box. Though having said that bob hazzell is usaully spot on.
Dames Posted 17 November 2007 Posted 17 November 2007 Give me Tigana. Holloway seems to be too much of a joker and i don't think he would have what it takes to get the players fit and to stop slacking.
NorthernFox Posted 17 November 2007 Posted 17 November 2007 Tigana Holloway Jewel Happy with that. Any of the above will do a good job imo. Prefer the mad one from ply mouth tho.
bald reynard Posted 17 November 2007 Posted 17 November 2007 newell and jewell the rhyming dream team And we'll have to sign Kewell. We've got enough fools !

Babylon Posted 17 November 2007 Posted 17 November 2007 Put it this way, Bob Hazell on TB has hinted at it being Holloway... and when he hints, it usually come true.
He's not bald Posted 17 November 2007 Posted 17 November 2007 Put it this way, Bob Hazell on TB has hinted at it being Holloway... and when he hints, it usually come true. I've already told you in the Tigana thread...Holloway on Monday!...check back if you don't believe me
City Fan Posted 17 November 2007 Posted 17 November 2007 Funny quotes aside, Holloway's win ration isn't particularly impressive...Bristol Rovers - 36.43% Queens Park Rangers - 39.68% Plymouth Argyle - 39.43% The win ratios really do mean fork all. Look at the clubs he was with! If I was to manage a team like Blackpool and got a win ratio of 40%, and then managed a team like Chelsea and got a win ratio of 60%, your theory suggests that I had a more successful time at Chelsea which wouldnt be true.
FilboFox Posted 17 November 2007 Posted 17 November 2007 newell and jewell the rhyming dream team Newell is a TWAT! If he comes in, I'll be down there and complaining myself to Mandaric at the Walkers, banners, posters... anything I can think of!!!
Mr Happy Posted 18 November 2007 Posted 18 November 2007 Maybe if we're lucky we'll get somebody that hasn't been linked to our open managerial position in recent weeks or never e.g. -All the managers recently out of jobs - Cotterill, Simpson, Mourinho etc -Managers that have been out of work for some time - Keegan, Reid (the link has dried up slightly), Taylor (i believe) etc -Managers that are still in jobs - Pearce, Grayson etc
