Fox in a Box Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 Well they seem to high fliers at present and all we can do is look and admire the way Garry Johnson has put a TEAM together on a shoestring that is getting results.... I remember the days of Gerry Gow and the last time I think we played them was in the cup, a tight game and they were quite impressive, we came out as winners 1-0 if my memory serves me well. To get a point away from home would be a very good point but 3 would be lovely.
Thracian Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 Not sure it's a good week to play them considering the 6-0 trouncing they got from Ipswich last time out. You can almost guarantee they'll react to that. However, if one team can do it...
Tabou Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 However, if one team can do it... Plymouth can...
Joe. Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 Not sure what to expect from this game at all. I should think Bristol will have recovered after their trouncing because of the international break. We know how well they've been doing this season, especially at home, so they're not going to be easy. But this is the Championship and anything can happen. Who knows?
Koke Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 My brain says Bristol City will win as they are flying (despite them getting gang raped by Ipswich last week) and by all means they should win this game quite comfortably. However, we can still get something out of this game if our team decide to turn up. We don't have a bad team. We just have a bunch of prima donnas who couldn't care less. Ollie should give them a kick up the backside. Thats what they need.
lookwhaticando Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 Ollie should give them a kick up the backside. If he isn't appointed until tomorrow (or Friday perhaps), he won't have much of a chance to get his ideas across to the players. Especially if he spends most of the day talking to the press (as usual).

Please edit the sub comment thing under the thread title! I'd expect this to Taggart and Burrows last game, if that is the case, I can't see us getting a lot from the game at all. Doubt players minds will be on there game (Whats changed I hear you ask?).
Staf Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 I think that we are capable of getting a win but i would be pleased with a draw. I just hope that if we do lose we dont blame the defeat on the international break and say are players are tired although not that many of are first team are on international duty. Anyway i think we will draw 1-1 and trundle will score for them and Clemence for us
Dames Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 We could and should spank them if we put a decent amount of effort into it. But we won't and will end up losing 1 or 2 Nil.

ooRya Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 Hey guys, Just thought I would pop in to give my thoughts. Looking forward to this game for lots of reasons, the main one being to see how we respond to getting murdered by Ipswich last time out! I think this will show though, just how good a manager Gary Johnson is and i expect that you may well be on the end of a severe backlash from us! Not totally straightforward for us though as we have a couple of suspensions to deal with that could mean a couple of players playing out of their normal position........never ideal. No disrespect, but I must admit I don't know too much about your team at the moment...........is your league position a fair reflection? Oh, and in case you want to join in the singing with us on Saturday, the words are as follows; "CHEER UP HOLLOWAY, OH WHAT CAN IT MEAN TO A, SAD GASHEAD BA$TARD AND A, SH!T FOOTBALL TEEEEAM"

I have the same feeling you do in a way, thinking that we could be on the end of a thrashing. If Holloway is coming here, I wouldn't expect this to be his first match as it looks like Plymouth are going to play hardball for a couple of days. I expect morale to be low with our lot, meaning you're likely to turn us over. Gary Johnson really is doing a great job down there.

Hopefully Hollowhead will be there......to add to the atmosphere if nothing else! Yeah, GJ is doing a fantastic job. He has made us a "team"...............we haven't had that for years!
Koke Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 I'm still wondering why Wolves let Michael McIndoe go. He's a good player in this division.
Simi Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 I'm still wondering why Wolves let Michael McIndoe go. He's a good player in this division. Weren't loads of Wolves fans pissed off about letting him go?
Koke Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 Weren't loads of Wolves fans pissed off about letting him go? Not sure to be honest. I just found it bizarre that they him go that easily. It was probably something to do with failed contract negotiations.
ooRya Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 I'm still wondering why Wolves let Michael McIndoe go. He's a good player in this division. His reasons were that he wanted to go to a more "progressive club". Upset a few Wolves fans with that comment! Yes, a very good player for the CCC. So is Ivan Sproule on the opposite wing.............hope your full backs are quick! Although he is playing for Northern Ireland aginst Spain tonight, so maybe on the bench to start with on Saturday?

Bryn Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 Back to 4-4-2 please. Fulop Chambers N'Gotty Kisnorbo MattockKaebi/Hume Clemence Wesolowski SheehanCampbell JohnSubs; Henderson, McAuley, Hayes, Fryatt, Cort

Fulop Chambers N'Gotty Kisnorbo MattockKaebi/Hume Clemence Wesolowski SheehanCampbell JohnSubs; Henderson, McAuley, Hayes, Fryatt, Cort Its very unlikely Stearman will be dropped to the bench, let alone be left out of the entire squad.
Simon Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 Would like to see the following team play: Fulop Chambers Kisnorbo N'Gotty Mattock Ferreira/Kaebi Not fussed, just want to actually see what they're like Weso Clem Sheehan Campbell John Subs: Hendo, Stearz, Hume, Fryatt, Ferreira/Kaebi

Although our likely full backs Stearman and Sheehan are about as fast as Teddy Sheringham.
RowlattsFox Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 I would stick to the 5-3-2 for this game and then revert to 4-4-2 on Monday. Therefore: .........................Fulop .........McAuley...Kisnorbo...N'Gotty Chambers...........................Sheehan ............Clemence.....Wesolowski .........................Hume ................Campbell...John Subs: Henderson, Kenton, Mattock, Cort, Fryatt
ooRya Posted 22 November 2007 Posted 22 November 2007 BUMP! Hey, forget all this Hollowhead talk, you should all be talking about much more important issues.............which is obviously the fact that you're playing us on Saturday!
Fox in a Box Posted 22 November 2007 Author Posted 22 November 2007 ..Fulop .........McAuley...Kisnorbo...N'Gotty Chambers/Stears...........................Sheehan ............Clemence.....Wesolowski .........................Hume or Fryatt ................Campbell...John Subs: Henderson, Kenton, Mattock, Cort, Fryatt
