Unless the ball is played directly to him he does nothing to get the ball what tallent he may have had to impress the daftest of scouts and coachs has long since gone 1 goal vs chelsea does nothing for me he is the 07/08 version of hammond i'm fed up of hearing about how he will be better in time? the guy is 29 it aint gonna happen He sould be the one out on loan not MDV as at least MDV tried for us and scored in this division 1 in 3? Now i'm not suggesting MDV is the answer at all but we should be making the best of what we have at the moment.

Probably have a moan and then call a "clear the air" meeting!! Seriously though, what does Ollie expect from us? Just to sit there and clap politely? We are passionate and committed to LCFC, we pay their wages for gods sake. Can't we make our feelings felt by having a go at someone we think is having a off day (seems to be every home game at the moment!). Ollie was quick enough to have a pop at the excuse of a referee for the "hand ball" (that’s for another thread). Cort was a donkey today, if he's not fit/injured then don’t play him. Let one of the youngsters play and have Cort on the bench? Hume didn’t have a good game either, the chance he had early on was one of those he could have done last season with his eyes shut. But at least he tries, never stops running and gets stuck in. Cout just ambles around and generally looks like a lazy ba**ard. Stearman, Clemence etc wernt much better. Newton??????? They were all shocking today, what Ollie is going to do about it is a real challenge for him, and our sanity! Hopefully we can get a result at Burnley next week and then get some confidence for WBA next Sat, on this showing I'm not looking forward to it! How come he didn't make him do a 30 day trial like he offered Hasselbaink, we might have been lucky enough then to see how crap he is before tying him up on a 2 year contract.

Some players got stick today yet Kisnorbo made two important mistakes and was only criticised verbally, and in passing really. The difference is that Kisnorbo is seen to die for the cause week by week and he's built up some insurance against prolonged criticism. His bad game is just that and goes with a general performance that probably amounts to seven good games out of 10 and very few bad ones. Others have no built in insurance. Consequently any mistakes or any bad performance get remembered alongside the last ones. Holloway might want and be quite right to want all fans behind all players. But I wonder if he'd feel the same after the years of frustration our fans have had. He can go out in January and change things but we can't. We have to put up with the players our professional managers/owners choose and, despite some people's seeming faith in the judgement of professionals, I am appalled by the standard of some players who have turned up here over the last few seasons and seriously wonder how and why they were signed, especially the latest lot. This season was supposed to be different. The shoestring budget was a thing of the past and we could do our shopping, if not in Mayfair, then perhaps in Bond Street. Quite reasonably we expected the money to buy/borrow better quality but the only impression we've got so far is one of being conned. Of 14 new signings in the official squad as listed in today's programme, not counting the likes of Ferreira and Djiziri who aren't mentioned, only one would be termed "excellent", and five more might be termed "good or acceptable". That's barely half. I wonder if Holloway would find half his salary acceptable? Cos basically, as fans, we're being seriously short-changed in the overall quality of player we're being asked to support for our hard-earned money. And, that being the case, the least those players can do is their best. If Mr Holloway thinks some of those performances today represented "the best" those players could offer then I'd love to know on what basis.

Cort was involved in some of the best football we played today, the bits that don't get noticed. I am not his biggest fan, but, why get on his back? Get behind the lad!
