Cobbo Posted 5 December 2007 Posted 5 December 2007 I aint being abusive. Oh Raj that was in no way directed at you chap. Check early morning Sunday postings.
Bert Posted 5 December 2007 Posted 5 December 2007 One of the most frustrating things is, we see Cort have good games, he's done well for other clubs, so why can't he do it for us?
Raj Posted 5 December 2007 Posted 5 December 2007 Oh Raj that was in no way directed at you chap.Check early morning Sunday postings. Read it Cobbo! Russel Brand??? Hhhmmmm.. Hows the leg anyway??? One of the most frustrating things is, we see Cort have good games, he's done well for other clubs, so why can't he do it for us? Im sure(HOPE!) once he is fit and stays fit(IF!) we will see abit more of him. The same applies with DJ. However perhaps in respect with his injuries it was a big gamble taking him from wolves. Hope i am right and he does some good stuff for us.
Cobbo Posted 5 December 2007 Posted 5 December 2007 Read it Cobbo!Russel Brand??? Hhhmmmm.. Hows the leg anyway??? I read it, there was no quote The leg is metalic but getting there ta chap.

Twas never in a brace - the plaster was taken off last week shockingly enough, they didn't replace it. Just told me not to put any weight on it until xmas dayish. I just have a steel plate screwed onto my tibia!!

Dames Posted 5 December 2007 Posted 5 December 2007 Seeing as Carl Cort is better now. I'd like to direct you to This!
AyewJoking Posted 6 December 2007 Posted 6 December 2007 Think you'll find Carl Cort was,in most peoples eyes, last night's Man of the Match for us.Would have been interesting to see the Booers reaction to him last night!!! Im not saying he is now a world beater, but we'd be Booing EVERY player sooner or later whenever they go through shite patches. Who is it next time?? Clemence???? Cort brought the boo's on himself against Southampton. Believe me, Leicester fans are used to crap players but Cort wasnt interested and it wasnt the first time he's been like that. Just to clarify, I didnt boo him, I was looking to see who was coming on as sub. I think this whole thing has been blown up because Holloway mentioned it in the aftermatch interview. Its not U12's on a Sunday morning, its professional football with big money involved and Cort walks away with a chunk of it. Call me old fashioned but if anyones commitment on the pitch is questionable then the fans are right to let the players know.

As it seems he is playing pretty shit at the moment. Or is he a golden boy and will be forgiven for playing shite! You say about commitment,CC hadnt played in 2 weeks and could easily have said eh wasnt ready to play.Perhaps THAT showed commitment in iteself. Dont get me wrong,i know he was crap on sat. But i just get pissed of at City fans sometimes for our siege mentality. Once we decide we dont like someone i.e MdV, everyoned decides he's crap and there is nothing the player can do to rectify that in the eyes of the fans....

Joe. Posted 6 December 2007 Posted 6 December 2007 Finally we agree Just for the record, Raj was actually joking in his comment in the other thread. He sits in L1 himself

To be honest mate, once the boo boys have booed. They shall never ever change there fickle minds. The player could go score 6 goals, lay off 2 more, secure peace in the middle east at half time but they would only make them madder. Every team has a scrapgoat though and Cort is ours.

WetFlannel Posted 6 December 2007 Posted 6 December 2007 I was one of the group who booed Cort last Saturday but after Ollies interview ill give him my support... Ollie really emphasized hopw much it effects the team so ill be getting behind Cort this Saturday, hoping he can prove me wrong

step Posted 6 December 2007 Posted 6 December 2007 I dont boo our players, but I understand why some do boo, It is simply that we all go to football matches to be entertained. But. What i can not get my head around and will never understand, Is why players think they can pocket a good wage and do nothing for it. Who the hell do they think they are, We, the fans pay that wage, and we do because we want to see good football, we dont want to watch a lazy git wander around a pitch for 90 minutes, we want football skills, some passion, a battle, and some times, we actually want to win. but most of all WE WANT ENTERTAINING. If a player does not like the idea, they can fcuk off, and go and earn a crap wage like the rest of us. and if anyone thinks that getting behind Cort will improve his game they are wrong. The only thing that will do is encourage him to be a crap lazy git. (God I hope he reads this) He is a lazy git because he does not give a toss about city or us fans. His attitude reflects that. he is so far up his own arse that he probably believes he actually played well and tried hard. Claping and cheering him for being crap and he will crawl further up his own arse and play all the worse. It time the clubs fined bad players, especially lazy ones, like cort. he needs a dose of reality and should be brought down to earth, so he understands what a lucky position he is in and if he dont respond to that then get rid of the lazy big headed git.
Raj Posted 6 December 2007 Posted 6 December 2007 Gettimng behind Cort will do nothing,He is a lazy git because he does not give a toss about city or us fans. BANG!

Its not a witch hunt Raj, its quite simple. Is there anyone out there who thinks Cort gives 100%? As for booing Clem, he may be crap at the moment but IMO he has been one of our better players overall.

Once we decide we dont like someone i.e MdV, everyoned decides he's crap and there is nothing the player can do to rectify that in the eyes of the fans.... No I don't agree. People were beginning to get on Joey Gudjonsson's back in his first season because he kept shooting and wasting shots and his passing was woeful. Were people booing him the season he left...? As for Cort he can rectify it by showing more effort, getting more goals and generally playing well. We may be slightly fickle as fans but we ain't stupid. We know the difference between heart on the sleeve and couldn't give a fook.

I agree with Roy. Totally. Also, what the fook is a scrapgoat. Cort doesn't scrap for us, he couldn't care less what the score is. And you're so wrong with the middle sentence. Cort's Chelsea goal earnt him a few weeks respect but one goal; that's not enough. He's a striker who has played at premiership level and should do better. But if he scores again we get off his back for a bit - 1 goal a season doesn't earn a lifetime of respect...otherwise why the hell did we criticise Fryatt last season?
