ronnup Posted 6 December 2007 Posted 6 December 2007 It's a daft argument this, the atmosphere's shit in the walkers mainly because we've not seen any good football for years. My heart ponds to fu ck when we get a move actually going and link five passes toghether, towards a chance, it just doesn't happen very often. People boo cos they're sick of complete shit, and certain players sadly become the advertising faces of the shitness. Cort is the person this season but it's not scapegoating, it's cos he's been toss. And we're talking complete toss. And we even have a heart for shit players who try like Tiatto, he is shit and doesn't try. And when your frustrated with years of bad footy, and paying plenty a week to see the team, and he's not trying. People want to boo him. no, it doesn't help him, but it aint going to change, and maybe it'll make Ollie think about playing anyone else to see if they can do better.
Asha Posted 6 December 2007 Posted 6 December 2007 Also what annoys me is people who don't get to games yet still go on and on about how we should support every individual player. Bollocks that. We pay, we choose what we say/sing.
Raj Posted 6 December 2007 Posted 6 December 2007 Except play well? Its not a witch hunt Raj, its quite simple. Is there anyone out there who thinks Cort gives 100%? As for booing Clem, he may be crap at the moment but IMO he has been one of our better players overall. CC was Man of Match in midweek. Does that not say he WAS giving 100%?? He hasnt even been fit yet is still playing....how can you judge someone who is playing whilst still unfit? No I don't agree. People were beginning to get on Joey Gudjonsson's back in his first season because he kept shooting and wasting shots and his passing was woeful. Were people booing him the season he left...?As for Cort he can rectify it by showing more effort, getting more goals and generally playing well. We may be slightly fickle as fans but we ain't stupid. We know the difference between heart on the sleeve and couldn't give a fook. HHmmm...MdV gave 100%. He even lost loads of weight to try and get back in the team.He still got Booed constantly I remember the likes of Guppy getting Booed at Filbo. OH believe me he did. And a certain manager at the time got Booed too.....ended up being OUR MOST SUCCESSFUL MANAGER IN HISTORY!!!!
Hugo Sanchez Posted 6 December 2007 Posted 6 December 2007 Might i add, i'm not a Cort fan but i'm a leicester fan. Cort has been crap for us no hiding from it but whats the point of booing him when he is on the pitch ? Booing him when he goes off i don't mind that and would join in. If i thought that he had a poor game and wasn't trying. Cort isn't our main striker and only is playing because of the big injury list. He can come off the bench though and change games in future i hope.
AyewJoking Posted 6 December 2007 Posted 6 December 2007 CC was Man of Match in midweek. Does that not say he WAS giving 100%?? He hasnt even been fit yet is still playing....how can you judge someone who is playing whilst still unfit? One game. Coincidently the game following the game he was booed.(who says booing doesnt solve anything?) I didnt see the Burnley game so if Cort gave 100% then good for him. Well done. If someone is so unfit they cant manage to look like they even care then you must question the manager for selecting him. Again, I'm not using Cort as a scapegoat, just calling it how I see it.
RowlattsFox Posted 6 December 2007 Posted 6 December 2007 People are complaining that Carl Cort doesnt give 100%, a lot of players are lazy and dont run around much, even at the best clubs in the world. To be honest im not sure i want Cort wasting his energy running around like an headless chicken, thats not what his game is about. Collins John is just as lazy as Cort but he wont get booed, yet. Dont get me wrong, i've not been impressed by Cort but I dont think we have played to his strengths yet and he hasnt had a few games in a row to sho what he can do.
