Asha Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 Oh no you have it all wrong Bert!GK'S 1,13 & 31 Right Backs 2,22,32 Left Backs 3,23,33 C Def 4,5,24,25,26,34,35 Left Mid 11,14 Right Mid 8,18 C Mid 6,7,15,17,27 Att Mid 10,16 Strikers 9,12,19, 20, 29 That sounds reasonable to me. I hate nowadays some stupid examples that contradict this. e.g. William Gallas - 10 Jonathan Woodgate - 8 Khalid Boulahrouz (when at chelsea) 9. All centre backs. It just doesn't work. What next? CM with 1, and GK with 8?
Matt Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 The gist was that as Kaebi's English is still pretty ropey (even after four months! ), he won't be in the squad for a while. Also Kenton's done his hamstring (how many is that since Ollie joined?) so we won't be seeing him either. It just gets better and better.. But at least that was the last moan-in this year! Come on you learn another language in four months, and well, not just odd words, have a solid conversation. I'm sure Birch (Or someone) saying "Yeah Ollie's building a relationship with him, you have to remember Kaebi can't speak a word of English" is abit harsh, I'm sure Kaebi's English is coming on just fine (Not sure but considering he couldn't speak a word of English when he first came, sure it's coming on just fine) Bear in mind English is apparently one of the hardest languages to learn.

I'd be interested o see a run down on injuries sustained since we started having international breaks and then playing two matches a week. It just seems like a recipe for injuries but whether the stats would bear me out I don't know. Always seems to me that's when our serious injury problems start.

If you live in a country for 4 months and are having English lessons as well, you should have rudimentary knowledge by now. Sounds like an excuse to me.

He had a hard 90 minutes Saturday and went down with cramp towards the end. He's just not been used to it at that level this season.
Ultra Posted 10 December 2007 Posted 10 December 2007 I'd be interested to see a run down on injuries sustained since we started having international breaks and then playing two matches a week. It just seems like a recipe for injuries but whether the stats would bear me out I don't know. Always seems to me that's when our serious injury problems start. A lot of the top clubs (and even Championship ones) have learned to live with it. In our case the biggest disruption is caused by frequent changes of manager, and therefore of training schedules.
