maurice tadman Posted 13 December 2007 Posted 13 December 2007 I'm one of the new Plimuff Argo fans that have signed up to this forum. Interesting stuff. Anyway, for what it's worth Ollie did a pretty good job and built a pretty good team over a couple of years. So in summary, footabll wise, I think he did a good job. Particularly when you take into account that fact the financially we are punching well above our weight. Will MM give him 12 months until next season to do his stuff??? I think one player tha stands out is Halmosi. But maybe he's good enough to go straight to the prem now? Must say thanks for letting us scribe away on your forum.

I'd say £150k+ for a 35 year old non-scoring striker with 6 months left on his contract was certainly unbelievable enough for Sturrock to let him go I know I couldn't believe it when I heard we were going to pay that much for him!!

I have been laughing about this for days, he is a good enough player but a little past it, guaranteed to up your bookings and argue with the ref at every chance he gets. Cheers for the 150k. Is it true you ended up with 4 strikers/centre forwards against QPR, (god I wish we had four)

It's a bit ridiculous to be honest. And yeah, we had Hume, Fryatt, Howard and Hayles on by the end of QPR.

Howard, Hume, Fryatt and DJ Campbell are all at the better end of the Championship, but, we don't have a creative midfield or wingers. If these guys went to other teams they'd be scoring hatfuls. Even with Hayles, he should score a few.
