maddog Posted 13 December 2007 Posted 13 December 2007 NO PLymouth players will be sold to Leicester in January unless the offer is unbelieveable. Sturrock rules out player exodus Plymouth Argyle manager Paul Sturrock has insisted none of his players will be sold to Leicester in January. Former Pilgrims boss Ian Holloway has been linked with several of his former players since taking over at the Foxes. Sturrock said: "I think its now time to draw a line through all this. Unless the offer is unbelievable, no players will be going to Leicester. "At this juncture, we've got to try and settle our players down and let them understand where I'm coming from." Sturrock also revealed that the club had turned down verbal bids for midfielder David Norris and Striker Barry Hayles. From BBC http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...yle/7142810.stm

DB11 Posted 13 December 2007 Posted 13 December 2007 Tis all talk. Just like when Holloway / Mandaric denied Ollie was coming here. If Ollie wants them, he'll get them because they'll (hopefully) want to leave to be with Ollie

Simi Posted 13 December 2007 Posted 13 December 2007 It's ok 'cos we're getting Jason Koumas on loan.
Staf Posted 13 December 2007 Posted 13 December 2007 I dont believe that to be honest if ollie wants players from plymouth he will get them
Rocky Dennis Posted 13 December 2007 Posted 13 December 2007 Id prefer Barry Scott. Cilit Bang Anyone??
Tommy G Posted 13 December 2007 Posted 13 December 2007 It's ok 'cos we're getting Jason Koumas on loan. Source? Secondly who give a fu ck about Plymouth, let it rest. There are hundreds of other clubs we can buy players from for goodness sake

Tommy G Posted 13 December 2007 Posted 13 December 2007 Almost laughed at that Ched...nearly! but seriously is that true or just made up Bollocks to cause a stir?
Simi Posted 13 December 2007 Posted 13 December 2007 Almost laughed at that Ched...nearly!but seriously is that true or just made up Bollocks to cause a stir? Nah mate. It's an old time thing on here. Bit like the "Switch the Kop with the Family Stand debate" But yes, he is definitely coming.
Tommy G Posted 13 December 2007 Posted 13 December 2007 if I was him I would have no desire to come to Leicester. People dont realise that we might have Milans cash, but attracting decent players in the Jan will be tricky becuase we're such a shit Club. Who would want to commit to a club teatering on a relegation battle? plymouth would seem a better option!!

Ric Flair Posted 13 December 2007 Posted 13 December 2007 I still think there will be one or two PLymouth players here. The wages we'll pay will be a lot more than they can offer and i'm sure the players are aware of that. Norris heralds from the Midlands as well so he'll perhaps fancy the move back up here, but the 50% sell on clause bothers me and unless we strike a deal where we pay more for another player and less for Norris to get him cheaper then I can't see it happening. They'll want at least £750,000 - 1 million for him for themselves, which means we'd have to pay near on £2 million, which a) we wouldn't be and b) he's not worth that.
Staf Posted 13 December 2007 Posted 13 December 2007 The only three players i want form Plymouth are Halmosi, Ebanks-Blake and Norris

Boom shak-a-lak You know the game Ric Flair is back Like Neil of Leicester Tigers and England fame
Trav Le Bleu Posted 13 December 2007 Posted 13 December 2007 The only three players i want form Plymouth are Halmosi, Ebanks-Blake and Norris Ebanks-Blake might make a decent player, though currently he's out on bail for allegedly bottling a night-club bouncer. He should fit right in here!

Leicester-Sam Posted 13 December 2007 Posted 13 December 2007 Barry Hayles. At the age of 35. Playing for Leicester City. Ollie out, I rest my case.
Fox92 Posted 13 December 2007 Posted 13 December 2007 There is only a few players from Plymouth I would take anyway.
onetruefox Posted 13 December 2007 Posted 13 December 2007 Sturrocks gonna look a right p*ick now when Ollie gets his new signings from Plymouth.
