Father Ted Posted 17 December 2007 Posted 17 December 2007 There is a training match tomorrow morning at 11am.All the first teamers against each other, if anyone is interested in going down. Will the trialists be there? Is entry free?
Simi Posted 17 December 2007 Posted 17 December 2007 Will the trialists be there? Is entry free? I'd guess thats why it's been organised, yes. They've never charged before, but that was under Martin Allen. They wont charge but you may not be let in?!
RowlattsFox Posted 17 December 2007 Posted 17 December 2007 There's also a reserve game at Forest tomorrow, according to the OS it starts at 2 I imagine the trialists would play in the reserve match.
kidder_wolf Posted 17 December 2007 Posted 17 December 2007 Talking about Eastwood. What's the beef between him and McCarthy? The problem is Mick would rather pick players who work hard over players that have talent. eastwood isnt the most hard working of players so players such as Keogh, Elliott and S. Ward get picked over him just because "they put in a shift". As for Mick McCarthy yes i do want to see him leave. This season he has been shown up to be a very limited and average manager.

It could be that. All I was told is that my step dad is reffing it and it involves the first team. Usually it's at the training ground etc.
Thracian Posted 17 December 2007 Posted 17 December 2007 at least we'll score That's what Ultra said at Hull but it didn't happen!

Simi Posted 17 December 2007 Posted 17 December 2007 The Forest OS has an article saying Neil Lennon is playing against us in the 2pm game at the City Ground. It could be that then. As I said I'm unsure. Wouldn't surprise me if there is something at the training ground early morning.
kidder_wolf Posted 17 December 2007 Posted 17 December 2007 I always thought Keogh was an excellent player? He is good but he just cant score. If we are going to play Keogh we need a 25 goal a season striker upfront with him. We dont seem to have one of those plus f im honest Keogh has been average this season. We play with two defensive minded CM's to cover our dodgy defence and currently play a poor striker in Ward on the left wing and another CM on the right wing which means we create little.

Sounds like us! Poor defenders, midfielders out of position and poor strikers!

This is going to be one hell of a game... It sounds like you are describing us, so how are you 8th and we are 20th
kidder_wolf Posted 17 December 2007 Posted 17 December 2007 This is going to be one hell of a game... It sounds like you are describing us, so how are you 8th and we are 20th We are hard to beat and with two really good defensive midfielders in our side we are good at holding onto a lead if we can get infront. Also Kightly and Wayne Hennessey have been carrying us. We have only scored 22 goals this season which would put us in the bottom 4 if it wasnt for Craddock, Henry , Hennessey and Olofinjana stopping the other side from scoring. But as a side we are to defensive to finish in the top 4.
davieG Posted 17 December 2007 Author Posted 17 December 2007 It could be that. All I was told is that my step dad is reffing it and it involves the first team. Usually it's at the training ground etc. The reserves are at the City Ground. I doubt trialists can play for the reserves anyway, registrations would be similar to first team ones. From the Forest Website Neil Lennon will line-up against his former club Leicester tomorrow as Nottingham Forest's reserves look to end 2007 with their unbeaten Pontin's League record in tact. The club's second string are unbeaten in 10 Pontin's games this term and are currently eight points clear at the top of the table. Lennon is expected to be joined in the Forest line-up by fellow first team squad members Grant Holt as they face Leicester at The City Ground (kick-off 2pm). Forest and Leicester have already gone head-to-head in the Pontin's League this season with The Reds running 2-1 winners in their opening game of the campaign.

Grant Holt's a bit chubby but that's a bit harsh coming from their own OS.

Simi Posted 17 December 2007 Posted 17 December 2007 I always thought you'd got it correct Unless Oliie is playing a joke on my step dad and sending him to the wrong place, I had every confidence.

You more or less just described Ian Hume. Well since Craddock and Kightly are both missing, we might be in for a small chance of getting something out of this game.

Hume can score, but he's like a diesel car. Goal, Goal, Goal.... Drought Drought Drought
Staf Posted 17 December 2007 Posted 17 December 2007 Hume can score, but he's like a diesel car. Goal, Goal, Goal.... Drought Drought Drought Thats a good way of describing so is he set to go 3 games without a goal then
