davieG Posted 18 December 2007 Author Posted 18 December 2007 Froom BBC Sport Foxes await Campbell injury news Leicester City will discover the full extent of DJ Campbell's knee injury later this week. The 26-year-old striker has been sidelined since mid-November and is having a scan on Tuesday. There had been fears the ongoing problem could rule the ex-Birmingham frontman out for up to three months. But the club say Campbell will probably only need a minor operation to clear up general wear and tear and expect him to be back in weeks rather than months.

This won't help him, after a below average start to his LCFC career he needs games. Good luck to him, I still think he'll be a good player.
dhermon Posted 18 December 2007 Posted 18 December 2007 Holloway has suffered a big setback as striker DJ Campbell, one summer signing he fancies keeping, is set to be sidelined for 12 weeks with a calf injury, despite a recent operation.

Scow Posted 18 December 2007 Posted 18 December 2007 Remember last season when we had just lost 4-1 at home to Sheffield Wednesday? We went to Wolves the next week and somehow came away with a 2-1 win. I can't see anything similar happening again.
brookfox Posted 18 December 2007 Posted 18 December 2007 Team vs Forest Reserves: Nielsen, Maybury, O'Neill, Newton, Garner, Cobb, Hayes, Hellings, McKay, Sappleton, Chambers Subs: Burns,Cisak, King, Tuttle, Cox Looks like Newton, Maybury, Hayes, Sappleton or Chambers won't be involved tomorrow.

Simi Posted 18 December 2007 Posted 18 December 2007 Just an update on that training match. The trialists weren't anything special. Comments from Holloway included, "You think these are on trial? You're all on ****ing trial"

Because we're not managed by Football League Coach Extraordinaire Roberto Kelly these days.
Plymouth Pete Posted 19 December 2007 Posted 19 December 2007 Please do us and yourselves a favour and beat Wolves 3 - 0 Merry Christmas and a Holloway New Year

andyh1884 Posted 19 December 2007 Posted 19 December 2007 I wouldn't be surprised if we get something out of this - not through being any good, but purely because Wolves have been turning in similarly turgid performances of late too. They struggle to score - 6 in their last 8 games. I'm anticipating a similar game to a couple of season ago when we bored them to death will the most defensive display in history & it'll be a woeful 0-0.

I'm expecting us to attack them - if we sit back then we've no chance when they have the likes of Kightley and Keogh. 1 - 3 I'm afraid, altough their fans can be silenced so perhaps a dream first 10 minutes?

I'd rather it were 0-0 than a fantastic 2-0 defeat. We need any points we can get atm.
