A Leicester City spokesman said: "We are always keen to try and help bring a smile to the children's faces especially as some of them may not make it home for Christmas. "We are a family-orientated club and are all for helping within the community whenever possible. "The visit is always very humbling but hopefully the children will enjoy the time that they spend with the players." A selection of players from the first team squad will be coming to hand out selection boxes to the youngsters on the wards, sign autographs and have photos taken with the children. Tina Clegg, service manager for the Children's Hospital, says: "We're delighted that the players are taking time out of their busy schedule to spend time with the children so close to Christmas. The children always thoroughly enjoy meeting the players - they bring festive cheer to the wards." Tigers players are coming in on friday aswell And some of the kids really do love it.... The parents too...

Yes there's plenty to be negative about but visiting some poor kids in hospital for a couple of hours is a worthy cause. Arguments such as "They should be on the fooking training ground" are stupid. Some people (oh look Matt started this thread) will search high and low for something, ANYTHING, to have a moan about.

We know it. They know it. Even the poor kids in the hospital know it so no need to go round in circles about it.

Yeah fair play for them visiting the kids, If people read the original post I made point 1 as "Poor Kids - 1 being in Hospital" This thread is nothing about critisizing the players (It's about critisizing the players in general ) going to visit the kids, I'm laughing at the fact Leicester are spreading 'Christmas Cheer' (Leicester havn't shown or given any Christmas Cheer let alone spreading it!) and apparently we have 'Heroes' at our club!

Hear hear to that...... they are probably fair game to be critisised for there prowess, or lack of it on the football field, but I would imagine that these players are still heroes to some extent to young kids, especially those unfortunate to be in hospital over christmas..... so I propose a round of aplause to those lads who took time out to visit these kids
