Sods Posted 21 December 2007 Posted 21 December 2007 Ray Lewington and Billy McKinlay in charge for the moment. Good luck Billy!
dandannieldanok Posted 21 December 2007 Posted 21 December 2007 Billy McKinley (I think) is in joint temporary charge
Manwell Pablo Posted 21 December 2007 Posted 21 December 2007 Merry Christmas Probabley just about justified, didn't hang about though did they.
Ric Flair Posted 21 December 2007 Posted 21 December 2007 Kisnorbo lives to fight another day then. This has John Collins written all over it IMO.
Head Honcho Posted 21 December 2007 Posted 21 December 2007 Kisnorbo lives to fight another day then. This has John Collins written all over it IMO. To be fair to Sanchez he just didn't/doesn't have the credentials to be a Premiership manager and I doubt he ever will. You cannot compare managing an international team of Northern Ireland's calibre with managing a top club side. Stick to your corner shop Mohamed Al-Fayed and leave the footie to the big boys.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 21 December 2007 Posted 21 December 2007 Everyone on here was right again then. Wigan, Bolton and now Fulham all proven to have made ridiculous decisions in the summer (and that's partly because they weren't prepared to back risky appointments, not just that they were poor appointments to make). Been saying all season he just signed a load of Championship players for millions and millions of pounds.

That signature is a work of art. I hope Fulham go down. Poor football club and only a handful of supporters topped up by tourists and people looking for a cheap Premiership season ticket.

It may be no coincidence that all three clubs mentioned are owned or at least financed by shopkeepers Milan doesn't own any shops does he?

Fez of Mahrez Posted 21 December 2007 Posted 21 December 2007 no different to Mr Keane though who paid even more over the top prices for championship players yet still everyone is kissing his ar5e!! as for Sanchez he's never looked comfortable and has been lucky to survive for so long The difference with Keane is that they are newly-promoted and were a bit of a shambles at the bottom of the Championship when he took over. Fulham already had players who were playing in the Premiership and they have replaced them with a dozen Championship players. Sunderland had a Championship squad and have added to it.

Darkzzz_ Posted 21 December 2007 Posted 21 December 2007 Collins will get the job i reckon... i do feel for sanchez tho... But it just shows what the difference is between the N. Ireland job and the fulham one.... He virtually transformed N.Ireland but why didnt he do wonders at Fulham??.... He almost brought half the N.Ireland squad with him aswell.... I know its a whole different job, with Fulham being more demanding on a day to day basis but i was convinced he would cut it.... Although it was a always going to be tough in the long run as Fulham arent the best of sides i have seen down the years, and the task at N.Ireland was more about pride and passion for a small nation to upset a few teams. Thats what Sanchez lived on and thats what gave him the hero status... Obviously things went wrong and he wasnt getting results end of and thats that... A nice Al Fayed xmas gift....

I can't see Quinn sacking him even if they go down. Bit like Boothroyd at Watford, did really well first season and got into a comfy position with his chairman. We'll see though.
Staf Posted 21 December 2007 Posted 21 December 2007 John Collins is definetly going there it is a certainty

Bit like Boothroyd at Watford, did really well first season and got into a comfy position with his chairman. We'll see though. probably more like £40m to be fair but it's still alot of rubbish Danny Higginbotham (Stoke City, £3m) Dickson Etuhu (Norwich City, £1.5m) Paul McShane (West Bromwich Albion, £1.5m) Russell Anderson (Aberdeen, £1m) Craig Gordon (Hearts, £9m.), Michael Chopra (Cardiff City, £5m.) Kieran Richardson (Manchester United, £5million.) Kenwyne Jones (Southampton, £6m) Greg Halford (Reading, £3m) Roy O'Donovan (Cork City, Undisc.) + a few free transfers no doubt on big contracts
Micky Ruddle Posted 21 December 2007 Posted 21 December 2007 He spent £20 Mill on players, to be positioned at 18th. Serves him right. Should've stayed at N.I job. Jock
lookwhaticando Posted 21 December 2007 Posted 21 December 2007 Gutted. I was so keen to see Fulham get dumped from the Premiership, and under Dirty Sanchez I thought I'd live to see the dream... but now they might appoint someone good and it'll be curtains for their relegation campaign. Still, you have to laugh. I wonder if Les 'backstabber' (allegedly) Reed has anything to do with all this... Right man, wrong time again, Mr Reed?
Webbo Posted 21 December 2007 Posted 21 December 2007 Our January transfer plans might have depended on selling Kisnorbo to Fulham, this could be very bad news for us.
Ultra Posted 21 December 2007 Posted 21 December 2007 Our January transfer plans might have depended on selling Kisnorbo to Fulham, this could be very bad news for us. I doubt it. There may be other Premier League bosses interested in taking him off our hands - Steve Bruce, for example, or Gary Megson.

The Fulham link to Kisnorbo has been around longer than Sanchez. He was first linked to Fulham while Cookie was still boss there. I'm not convinced Sanchez's sacking alters anything for us at all.

I'm not convinced Sanchez's sacking alters anything for us at all. It will. The new boss would be unlikely to extend Collins John's loan with us - assuming that Holloway wants to see it extended..
