Like me, you mean? Insanity is good, I find. I did live in Leicester for a few years, although I'm not sure that's really a valid excuse. I'll stick with the insanity plea.
WetFlannel Posted 28 December 2007 Posted 28 December 2007 well i used to support liverpool but then my mate started taking me to watch leicester... After a few games i started developing an interest, and then i decided what 'real football' is...
Alexikokopops Posted 28 December 2007 Posted 28 December 2007 Born and bred a Lincolnshire boy, but my mum's side of the family all support Leicester, and she turned my dad into a Leicester fan when she met him (he never settled on a team because he lived all over the shop growing up, including Egypt and Lybia).
Hullfox Posted 28 December 2007 Posted 28 December 2007 Played for them for 6 years before retiring through injury.

Wezleylowski Posted 28 December 2007 Posted 28 December 2007 Played for them for 6 years before retiring through injury. Really HF?

I'd like to think so anyway.
lookwhaticando Posted 28 December 2007 Posted 28 December 2007 I did live in Leicester for a few years, although I'm not sure that's really a valid excuse. I'll stick with the insanity plea. Personal connection to the club, too, surely? As for me... born in Leicestershire, although didn't stay there for long (2 years). And I had no family to point me in any particular direction, football-wise... so when I came to picking a team, I picked the team I believed to be my local side - since I'm from Leicestershire, Leicester City it was. I was living in Derby at the time.
lavrentis Posted 29 December 2007 Posted 29 December 2007 Dad from Barrow, Mum From Thurmaston so I guess I had no choice although I have lived in Lincolnshire for the majority of my life.
Monk Posted 29 December 2007 Posted 29 December 2007 brought up in Rutland, had a season ticket for 5 years, then moved to London 3 years ago...
Finnegan Posted 29 December 2007 Posted 29 December 2007 My old man was a Leicester fan, for his sins. I've tiraded him plenty after dismal Leicester showings, for not taking me to Vetch Field or, hell, even Ninian Park before Filbert Street but... alas. Once I clasped that magical program and studied the beautiful, balding head of Steve Agnew - there was no turning back.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 29 December 2007 Posted 29 December 2007 Cos i'm a D!ck head!! Na but real story is Born and breed in Melbourne hated Soccer (big AFL culture) and had no mates that played or liked it but 2 uncles and me pop that supported leicester so didn't so any intrest, until i got invited to play for a local side and my Grandfather tried to teach me the rules and told me stories of Filbert st in the 50-60's, So i decided to follow them and made him the proudest grandfather ever. Then it built from there and a few years later i went over to see Leicester play with one of my Uncles and it was only my first overseas trip and second pro game
