Kilworthfox Posted 31 December 2007 Posted 31 December 2007 We have signed 2 players on emergency loans today ahead of the transfer window, so that they can play tomorrow. Now I don't like transfer windows rules, but if they are in place then why are they allowed to be broken with this loophole of emergency loan deals for a day? I always thought the F.A allowed these deals when you had no goalkeeper or some similar situation! Not to get players in on a loan so they are available in a squad for selection the next day? Not against it today as in this instance it has worked in our favour.
filbertway Posted 31 December 2007 Posted 31 December 2007 Are they on Loan then, Football Manager lied to me .
Kilworthfox Posted 31 December 2007 Author Posted 31 December 2007 Are they on Loan then, Football Manager lied to me . Yes today but not tomorrow!
Suffolk_fox Posted 31 December 2007 Posted 31 December 2007 I thought you could sign a player outside of the window, but it would only take effect on the first day of the window. At least that's what I think it means....
Matt Posted 31 December 2007 Posted 31 December 2007 Where have you heard there on Emergency Loan? Surly it's just a waste of Short term loan deals (Should we actually be in need of an Emergency Loan - i.e on Football Manger your allowed so many long term and so many short term loan deals)

Matt Posted 31 December 2007 Posted 31 December 2007 SSN. OK! I'm playing Fifa on PS3 and looking on here in between otherwise i'd be watching SSN.
Kilworthfox Posted 31 December 2007 Author Posted 31 December 2007 They have signed on emergency loan so they can play tomorrow! If we had played on the 2nd not the 1st there would have been no need to do this. My point is why have the F.A allowed this when it is supposed to be an emergency measure?
when_you're_smiling Posted 31 December 2007 Posted 31 December 2007 Well QPR have done the exact same thing with Gavin Mahon this morning. Guess Ollie realised if the FA were going to let QPR do it then they had to let Leicester do the same. I stopped understanding the transfer rules years ago. Other than general crapness what kind of emergency are we supposed to be in anyway?

Fez of Mahrez Posted 31 December 2007 Posted 31 December 2007 What is the meaning of life? I don't know. All I know is we've signed Barry Hayles and we've all got to get on with it.
when_you're_smiling Posted 31 December 2007 Posted 31 December 2007 Have you seen the table? I thought that was covered by 'general crapness'
