i luv u foxes Posted 1 January 2008 Posted 1 January 2008 so roy keane has decided to recall marton fulop back from his loan deal while the two clubs are discussing a possible permanent deal however why would there be a reason for them to recall him if where hopefully going to sign him im lost in the knowledge there
Polyphonic Posted 1 January 2008 Posted 1 January 2008 so roy keane has decided to recall marton fulop back from his loan dealwhile the two clubs are discussing a possible permanent deal however why would there be a reason for them to recall him if where hopefully going to sign him im lost in the knowledge there One of three reasons, 1) to force Leicesters hand and sort the deal ASAP rather than wait until the end of the season assuming at that point we still want him 2) Other clubs have actually made a large money approach to Sunderland for Fulop and Keane has decided to cash in 3) Keane has decided he seriously wants four keepers at Sunderland.
MPH Posted 1 January 2008 Posted 1 January 2008 so roy keane has decided to recall marton fulop back from his loan dealwhile the two clubs are discussing a possible permanent deal however why would there be a reason for them to recall him if where hopefully going to sign him im lost in the knowledge there its been made clear that there are other clubs interested in him... seems like sunderland are trying to generate cash for their own funds by selling him...
El_Thief Posted 1 January 2008 Posted 1 January 2008 its been made clear that there are other clubs interested in him... seems like sunderland are trying to generate cash for their own funds by selling him... i agree, sunderland want to make some money to spend and they see this as a good choice to do so, just hope we can sign him on permant deal, he's worth it even if pay slightly over the odd's but only slightly i meen
Fox You Forest Posted 1 January 2008 Posted 1 January 2008 its been made clear that there are other clubs interested in him... seems like sunderland are trying to generate cash for their own funds by selling him... Yeah i agree they need to make some cash back after paying 6m for Kenwyn Jones which is a shocking price if you ask me.

kevinwpratt Posted 1 January 2008 Posted 1 January 2008 Yeah i agree they need to make some cash back after paying 6m for Kenwyn Jones which is a shocking price if you ask me. Better value for money than Akinbyi..... I think he will go on to bigger and better clubs
Bezzanator89 Posted 1 January 2008 Posted 1 January 2008 Credit to Sunderland where it's due. Fulop is a decent keeper who was a hit for Leicester as soon as he got there. Roy Keane has realised that if Leicester City want him that badly, he'll make them pay to have him on a permenant basis. And if Leicester do get him, he'll be vital in Leicester's revival under Milan Mandaric and Ian Holloway.
maddog Posted 1 January 2008 Posted 1 January 2008 If Howard is worth 1.5m Fulop has to be at least £2.5m. I rekon we will end up paying £2m for him.
Bezzanator89 Posted 1 January 2008 Posted 1 January 2008 But from what I've seen of Fulop, he could be worth it in the long run... *crosses fingers*
maddog Posted 1 January 2008 Posted 1 January 2008 Fulop is NOT in the Sunderland squad to play Blackburn. Ward and Gordon are. Another sign that suggests we may sign him
FleckneyFox Posted 1 January 2008 Posted 1 January 2008 my mate reckons he's going Everton or Qpr just sent me an email but he didnt give a source
lee7 Posted 1 January 2008 Posted 1 January 2008 my mate reckons he's going Everton or Qpr just sent me an email but he didnt give a source they have already got tim howard and he's quite good why would they need a new keeper. also QPR have camp and he's decent. mandaric has got to do whatever it takes to sign fulop he's the best goalkeeper we have had in ages.
Fox You Forest Posted 1 January 2008 Posted 1 January 2008 Better value for money than Akinbyi..... I think he will go on to bigger and better clubs Close call that
Dames Posted 1 January 2008 Posted 1 January 2008 If its really QPR Bolton and Everton in for him realistically we have no chance what so over. Bolton and Everton offer the chance of premiership football, no contest really. QPR will outbid any bid we place and Mandaric is tight and we will be lucky if he stumps up the 2 million we need.

QPR will outbid any bid we place and Mandaric is tight and we will be lucky if he stumps up the 2 million we need. Bolton and Everton will offer him reserve football or a seat on the bench at most. I don't believe though that they are interested in him. Can't see QPR bidding for him either whilst they have Lee Camp.
davieG Posted 1 January 2008 Posted 1 January 2008 We've already paid over the odds for Howard, Derby got him for a mill and he's a year older now plus we had to offer a 3.5 year contract to get him to sign, we could have got Hayles for free in the summer but have had to fork out for him. This is the big problem with January purchases it's a sellers market and you can only pay over the odds so many times.

No because they are not as stupid to go stumping up large amounts of money for these players.
Super Arj Posted 2 January 2008 Posted 2 January 2008 we so desperatly need him everyone found out how crap henderson is on the first game this year vs QPR we need Fulop

davieG Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 BBC - QPR poised to sign Vine and Hall QPR are set to increase their January spending by completing the signings of Birmingham striker Rowan Vine and Wigan defender Fitz Hall. Rangers are close to sealing the permanent capture of Vine, 25, after he impressed during a recent loan spell. And Hall, 27, is expected to join the Championship club before the weekend. Ex-Aston Villa keeper Stefan Postma, now with Dutch club ADO Den Haag, and Argentinean winger Sebastian Rusculleda are also in line to join the R's. Rusculleda, 22, plays for Argentine club Tigre and will arrive in London to complete his move next week. QPR have money to spend in the transfer market after a takeover by Formula One magnates Bernie Ecclestone and Flavio Briatore, which has been followed by investment from steel tycoon Lakshmi Mittal. They have already signed Akos Buzsaky from Plymouth, Hogan Ephraim from West Ham, Matt Connolly from Arsenal, Gavin Mahon from Watford and Patrick Agyemang from Preston. Rangers have enquired about a number of other players, including Tottenham winger Wayne Routledge. A bid to re-sign former Rangers defender Dan Shittu from Watford has also been discussed and Birmingham centre-back Martin Taylor remains a target despite competition for his signature from Norwich City. BBC So not Fulop then!
Fez of Mahrez Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 So not Fulop then! Keen. I always thought Watford would go for him. Poom is no great shakes.
sham Posted 4 January 2008 Posted 4 January 2008 Hi i've never used these topics before and wanted to post a new topic but it gives me the message that i do not have permission. I was just browsing through THE SUN ONLINE and came across this: LEICESTER are set to snap up Spurs keeper Ben Alnwick on loan for the rest of the season. The England Under-21 ace is yet to make a first-team appearance since joining for £900,000 a year ago. Foxes boss Ian Holloway moved for Alnwick afterridiculing the £3million price-tag on Sunderland keeper Marton Fulop. The Leicester chief, who offered £1m, said: “The boy is upset as he wants to play for us. But the deal is dead in the water.†http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport...ticle636435.ece Towards the bottom is other news confirming the transfer of BRADLEY JOHNSON for £250,000 A VERY EXCITED FOX SHAM
Sooper Steve's shin Posted 4 January 2008 Posted 4 January 2008 Poor Marton is upset - I knew that Roy Keane was a nasty man.
