SOCCERROO FOX Posted 1 January 2008 Posted 1 January 2008 I Went to this awesome party in the middle of no where in a vineyard 2500 people 18-30 all dressed in an 80's theme with an 80's band and Dj playing all night. Was one of the nights ever not a single fight everyone in an awesome mood despite the 42 dgrees temprature Which was good as the women wore next to nothing. And got free drinks all night as me and 3 mates got VIP tickets as my uncle was driving one of the 30 odd busses. Was also meant to be a midnight fireworks display but they got cancelled due to a total fireban because of the extreme heat So what did you do?

Just got back from a club, got pissed...like most wekend's jujst more hyped up!

(its a good job my mates dad is a nurse otherwise i would've spent the night in A&E)

Arrived home only to realise i had no keys and everyone inside had there phone off and couldnt hear me knocking on the door, so i had to spend from 3.30am to 8.30am outside in the freezing cold in just a t-shirt. Glad I wasn't out, there's always a lot of arseholes about considering New Year is supposed to be a celebration. Bit weirded out today because some lad was murdered on Fosse Road South, just down the road from me in the early hours of this morning. What the hell's that all about?

Jordan Posted 1 January 2008 Posted 1 January 2008 I <3 New Year's Eve because my brother and I were New Year's babies and we always try to do something fun for our birthday (and on that night, there are lots of options) I was in the Lower East Side of Manhattan last night--we went down late and started off at Motor City Bar, my favorite spot in NYC, at about 11:40. Just a few minutes after we got there, another bar patron struck up a conversation with me: -You straight? --Yeah. -You single? --Yeah. -I'm going to bring someone over here and you're gonna make out with her. Just wait right here. [FIN] So, right away, I knew it was gonna be a long, silly, fun night. Later on, my brother, two others and I went a few blocks away to go see Les Savy Fav play--we got there at 2:30 and they played from 3:00-4:45. Les Savy Fav are definitely one of my favorite live bands and nothing about their gig last night did anything to lower their status. It was a wild show; the whole place went crazy (and that's a rarity in NYC when hipster bands play). I had a great time last night and I hope you all did, too. Happy New Year, FTers.

Guest seanfox778 Posted 1 January 2008 Posted 1 January 2008 I had to work at a really busy bar in Newquay, everyone was dressed up, i was Axl Rose. i was drinking JD all night but didn't feel drunk so at 11:45 i had 5 shots of tequila, when we finished at 2, i then drank quarter bottle of vodka straight from the bottle, went to a mixture of nightclubs, blacked out. I woke up this morning in the staff accommodation (where i do not actually live) completley blanked memory and had to work 12pm till 10pm. good night though.
