I too could be biased as i own a Ipod Video, which is a quality bit of kit...

I would rather go with a Ipod, i have had previous Sony Walkman's but i didnt get on to well with them!!

Im not sure about the new one though because i have not seen it in action, looks pretty good though!!

Could run Apple close!!

I have the new nano. Its small, yet the screens big enough to watch videos well enough. Video quality is good. No complaints from me so far!

I hate IPODS...

I hate everything about them including Itunes and the fact you can't drag and drop and all that nonsense

I have one though!!! :giggle:

they just look so sexy, the apple designers are just the dogs nothing finer available on the market and thats what gets me the most, nothing comes near the IPOD as a music player so you must get one of those although Nanos are clearly for girls  and 8gb is just far to small so go for the classic with the sexy shiny silver casing on the back

I think Ipods are very overrated.

The Sony mp3 seems better value for money so i'd go for that one.

I've only ever had Apple Ipods and i've had no end of trouble with them but other people might have good reviews on them so it's up to you at the end of the day.

as in drag and drop that I can't plug it into anyones machine without itunes, open it up as per a portable harddrive and copy and paste MP3's in like you can with say the Zen Stone or Creative players

I cannot speak from experience but isn't the software that comes with Sony mp3 players dreadful? I've heard loads of people moaning about it, which is a shame as the players themselves seem pretty good.

I'm not a massive fan of Ipods - I think they're overpriced although the user friendliness of itunes cannot be denied.

I use a Sansa E280 - it's not particularly glamorous, but you don't have to use the manufacturer's software with it, meaning you can use whatever you like to rip mp3s (Exact Audio Copy in my case) and store them wherever you want. The thing I like about it best is that with a decent pair of headphones and mp3s ripped at 320kbps it sounds ACE, and to be honest every other mp3 player I've ever heard sounds pretty crappy

It also takes 5mp photos, plays great games, tells you how to get home from the pub and...if you are mad enough...will let you phone for a cab.

Why fill your pockets when one gadget does the lot? :dunno:
