mmarkie Posted 2 January 2008 Posted 2 January 2008 When we have agreed a fee, agreed wages and got him to sign on the dotted line. sounds like weve agreed a fee and hes discussing personal terms from that bbc report
mmarkie Posted 2 January 2008 Posted 2 January 2008 Today, though, the 20-year-old was at the Walkers Stadium to discuss personal terms after the Cobblers accepted what is thought to be a record offer for the player they snapped up on a free transfer from Cambridge in 2005
ibbosuk Posted 2 January 2008 Posted 2 January 2008 do u think hell sign in the next few days? Their manager states we have received a good offer from a championship side (presume it's us)... "BUT their are other teams involved too" Source Radio Northampton.
mmarkie Posted 2 January 2008 Posted 2 January 2008 do u think hell be able to play against southampton?
dandannieldanok Posted 2 January 2008 Posted 2 January 2008 I'd be surprised if this signing wasn't unveiled tomorrow morning, I can't imagine someone like him stalling on a contract offer from the Championship.
TheBlinding Posted 2 January 2008 Posted 2 January 2008 do u think hell be able to play against southampton? Cup Tied
Monk Posted 2 January 2008 Posted 2 January 2008 I can predict the match build up on the BBC website: "Leicester will be without new signing Johnson (Cup Tied) and striker Elvis Hammond (Ankle)"
Filberts lovechild Posted 2 January 2008 Posted 2 January 2008 The mans no Kaebi thats for sure I'm not being funny I'm sure the lad could turn into a good signing in a few years time, but are you telling me that some lad who's 20 years old and not been tested at this level can be the one to change our fortunes??? I don't think so, so I will be hoping for a bit more in the transfer market from Ollie, especially in the midfield area!
Phlashman Posted 2 January 2008 Posted 2 January 2008 I think this one has Gary Penrice's name all over it. Exactly the type of player the scouting network is set up to find.
Finn Claw Posted 2 January 2008 Posted 2 January 2008 I can predict the match build up on the BBC website:"Leicester will be without new signing Johnson (Cup Tied) and striker Elvis Hammond (Ankle)" i swear it is thrac is some sort of computer genius and hacks into the bbc website to add in a hammand update before each game...
Ultra Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 Actually I'm pretty sure Elvis' gangsta reputation comes from these photos, not racial stereotyping (that emoticon's just for you) Wasn't talking about Elvis, although some of the comments made about him do sail very close to the wind. It was TPD's jibes about Highfields, an area about which he clearly knows even less than he does about football.
Ultra Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 I'm not enthused by this signing at all. What can this bloke offer that the likes of King can't? And the last midfielder called Johnson that was on our books didn't exactly prove a raging success, did he?
Babylon Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 What can this bloke offer that the likes of King can't? Lets wait and see And the last midfielder called Johnson that was on our books didn't exactly prove a raging success, did he? Well no point in getting him then.
The People's Hero Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 It was TPD's jibes about Highfields, an area about which he clearly knows even less than he does about football. FOXES! You know less than nothing. You even defend the Foxes Trust! You and your new found best mate can swivel. Arsehole.
dave the caveman Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 Woohoo another shite signing who won't make 10 appearances for the club. Why don't we just stop signing all this crap and concentrate on cutting the current squad down to size, installing a bit of team spirit and ORGANISATION. It doesn't take much to be a mid-table team in this division, if that's what we're aiming for. And lets be honest, we're not exactly gunning for the stars here are we? Barry Hayles and Bradley Johnson are about as premiership as a dead Japanese doctor.

If we do sign this guy he needs to be able to come straight into the side be affective and offer us something on the left hand side as we have more than our fair share of so called up-and-coming players hanging on the sidelines. WHAT I WONT ACCEPT FROM HOLLOWAY IS THE FOLLOWING EXCUSES 1 He's only young we must give him time. 2 He's one for the future 3 He need time to ajust to the higher level of fooball Otherwise forget him he is no use to us as we need player for the now!!
Phlashman Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 Woohoo another shite signing who won't make 10 appearances for the club. Dude, can I borrow that Crystal ball after you... what?..... you don't have one? THEN SHUT THE fook UP! Give the lad a chance.

What can this bloke offer that the likes of King can't?And the last midfielder called Johnson that was on our books didn't exactly prove a raging success, did he? Playing on the left perhaps? He's very left-footed though so I would imagine if he came to us as a first-choice player then he would play on the left wing. Although I would love it if we signed all our players based on previous players we had with the same surname though. Imagine the uproar there would've been in August if we'd signed Eddie Lewis based on Junior Lewis' performances. It would've been brilliant Woohoo another shite signing who won't make 10 appearances for the club. Why don't we just stop signing all this crap and concentrate on cutting the current squad down to size, installing a bit of team spirit and ORGANISATION. PS - I lived in Highfields for two years. During that time there were two murders on streets adjacent to ours, various muggings, Spar on Evington Road had a different "Did you see anything?" sign every week and on our first night there two of my housemates were walking along our street and a bloke dropped a knife on the pavement right in front of them. I think it's fair to say it's hardly Mayfair without getting on your high horse about it.

But getting in to a reasoned debate with Ultra is about as likely as getting in to eat at the Ritz with a couple of his prosti... err stunners and a koala bear in tow.
