teblin Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 It's starting to sound like the summer - with all sorts of players lined up but all sorts of problems getting them to actually sign. Or maybe something better has come along?
Sniffer-Clarke Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 Why are you named after an old Wolves manager? Im chinese.
Kilworthfox Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 According to Setanta News were are about to sign Johnson
sham Posted 4 January 2008 Posted 4 January 2008 Hi i've never used these topics before and wanted to post a new topic but it gives me the message that i do not have permission. I was just browsing through THE SUN ONLINE and came across this: LEICESTER are set to snap up Spurs keeper Ben Alnwick on loan for the rest of the season. The England Under-21 ace is yet to make a first-team appearance since joining for £900,000 a year ago. Foxes boss Ian Holloway moved for Alnwick afterridiculing the £3million price-tag on Sunderland keeper Marton Fulop. The Leicester chief, who offered £1m, said: “The boy is upset as he wants to play for us. But the deal is dead in the water.†http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport...ticle636435.ece Towards the bottom is other news confirming the transfer of BRADLEY JOHNSON for £250,000 A VERY EXCITED FOX SHAM

Dames Posted 4 January 2008 Posted 4 January 2008 Don't worry we'll just sign another 2 strikers to ease the pain.
ibbosuk Posted 4 January 2008 Posted 4 January 2008 http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/leed...-for.3642129.jp Sounds like he's found his level..
adam Posted 4 January 2008 Posted 4 January 2008 Strange one Seems weird why he would go there instead of here, ah well. Thats the end of that
The People's Hero Posted 4 January 2008 Posted 4 January 2008 Leeds have done well to bring in Kilkenny. He's not too bad at Championship level - I'd have taken him, if just to have another midfielder on the books.
adam Posted 4 January 2008 Posted 4 January 2008 They seem to have come into money. Ken Bates is fidling again!
Simi Posted 4 January 2008 Posted 4 January 2008 Looks like we've fooked another one up. Mind you, might be the case that he's just not good enough.

The People's Hero Posted 4 January 2008 Posted 4 January 2008 Like Hellings? I'm not sure - I've never seen Hellings play. He's probably a better midfielder than some of the jokers we've played in midfield though.
lee7 Posted 4 January 2008 Posted 4 January 2008 http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/leed...-for.3642129.jp not bothered whether he comes here or not.

morris1234 Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 HAYES JOINS NORTHAMPTON ON LOAN MAYBE JOHNSON COMING THIS WAY???!!
lookwhaticando Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 NO NEED TO SHOUT!!!! Hayes on the move (OS).
l444ry Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 Every Cobblers supporter I've spoken to thinks that they should snap any club's arm off at £300k for Johnson. Doesn't tackle apparently and they are convinced that Northampton would be stealing the money from any prospective buyer and could be replaced easily.

They said the same about Chambers when Mark Hughes was playing well but he's been pretty ordinary this season. They will miss Johnson big time unless Coke turns out well for them IMO.

Someone I work with is a cobblers season ticket holder. She laughed her socks off when I mentioned that Johnson had been linked with us.She said he was a bit better than Josh Low but still not particularly good. She was particularly amused at the prospect of any club paying a transfer fee

MPH Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 http://www.northamptonchron.co.uk/cobblers...held.3645167.jp sounds to me that Leeds are trying to talk the talk and pretend they can fight at a weight above what they can actually fight at....
