Stevosevic Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 Great signing, always liked Anelka, a quality finisher. Could have been one of the great strikers, on par with Ronaldo (the fat one), unfortunately his moods have got in the way, still quality though.
Fat Ron Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 In my Dream Team so I approve of this Transfer Bigtime!!!

Ric Flair Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 It certainly is good business for Bolton who once paid 8million pounds for him and now are getting almost 100% extra money in return on that investment!Thing is - who's supposed to bang in the goals for the Wanderers, now that their sole striker's gone? "Lama" Diouf? Could be that Bolton's already preparing for a Championship spot next season... Collins John. I think they'll get someone half decent, but they won't be anywhere near as good as Anelka I wouldn't have thought. There's rumours they are after Saviola, but can he lead the line on his own like Anelka has had to do in a 4-5-1?. Doubtful.

Cisse is another they've been linked with, although I can't really see him doing it either.
Bert Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 It is.Interested to see who Bolton replace him with aswell. Anelka is the player who has been transfered for the most collective amount of money in history now, taking over Veron. Matty Fryatt.

Anelka is the player who has been transfered for the most collective amount of money in history now, taking over Veron. they are trying to sign that swedish forward johan elmander i think his name was for about 8 or 9 mill, (was on skysports smorning) i think its a good deal both ways.
Joe. Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 Great signing I think for Chelsea. They've needed a quality striker for some time now and I think they've definitely got that in Anelka. Not too sure quite how he'll fit in when Drogab returns though.

Simi Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 It is.Interested to see who Bolton replace him with aswell. Scott Dobie.
Staf Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 15 Million is way to much but Chelsea certainly can afford it they really do need a striker this month with Drogba on international duty

He was the dog's for Arsenal, especially in 98 when he helped them to the double, and when he ripped us to shreds the season afterwards. He lost his way a bit afterwards, though. Hopefully this will go down as the day Bolton's return ticket to the lower leagues was sealed. Couldn't happen to a nicer chairman or manager..

Whilst I agree they are contenders Wise and Bates every time
lildave3 Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 Scott Dobie. It's what all northern men dream of. 15 Million is way to much but Chelsea certainly can afford it they really do need a striker this month with Drogba on international duty 15 million isn't too much imo. That is a joke right? What's wrong with Ronaldo? At one time he was the best striker in the world, injuries hampered his career.
SamL Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 Interested to see who Bolton replace him with aswell. I think Elvis Hammond could do business for them, in league 2. They can have him for free In fact, I'll pay them to have him. On a more serious note, good signing for Chelsea. I hope he goes on to prove that he is worth his transfer fee.
