Shrenchel Posted 21 January 2008 Posted 21 January 2008 Never been Blackpool. Is the ground walking distance from the station? What's the stadium like? Old school or plastic fantastic?
Ashley Posted 21 January 2008 Posted 21 January 2008 Never been Blackpool. Is the ground walking distance from the station? What's the stadium like? Old school or plastic fantastic? The Bus which leaves from Preston will go to Blackpool North which is about 2miles away from the ground however Blackpool has two Train Stations and the Train on the way back leaves from Blackpool South which is within walking distance. www.footballgroundguide.co.uk Check on there mate
worksopfox Posted 21 January 2008 Posted 21 January 2008 i'm booked in the Premier Travel Inn, good value. The one we stopped in at Plymouth was fantastic
Koke Posted 21 January 2008 Posted 21 January 2008 Never been Blackpool. Is the ground walking distance from the station? What's the stadium like? Old school or plastic fantastic? The ground is a shithole. If it rains heavily then we ****ed as they have no roof at the away end.
lildave3 Posted 21 January 2008 Posted 21 January 2008 The ground is a shithole. If it rains heavily then we ****ed as they have no roof at the away end. Excellent. Accy all over again :w00t:
C-man Posted 21 January 2008 Posted 21 January 2008 I'm getting my tickets on Wednesday. Anyone think we'll sell out?
Joe. Posted 21 January 2008 Posted 21 January 2008 An old ground with no roof. Lovely stuff. We want rain! Ahhh it'd be like Stanley all over again. Except there'd be no goalkeeper quite like Arthur there.
Sods Posted 21 January 2008 Posted 21 January 2008 An old ground with no roof. Lovely stuff. We want rain! Ahhh it'd be like Stanley all over again. Except there'd be no goalkeeper quite like Arthur there. All hail Arthur.
Shrenchel Posted 22 January 2008 Posted 22 January 2008 It's definitely NOT about the rail replacement buses. Banged on about an hour and an half to my journey time.
Leicfox Posted 22 January 2008 Posted 22 January 2008 The ground is a shithole. If it rains heavily then we ****ed as they have no roof at the away end. I live just outside Blackpool and its been raining non-stop for 5 days more or less, floods everywhere atm.

Except there'd be no goalkeeper quite like Arthur there. Shame it's all brand new The old stadium was really something. A proper dump. Would have loved to visit it. It's all new now but still no roof as it's just a temporary stand. I hope it rains as that means the stewards can't get us to sit down.
Leicfox Posted 22 January 2008 Posted 22 January 2008 Never been Blackpool. Is the ground walking distance from the station? What's the stadium like? Old school or plastic fantastic? Take you about 15/20 mins from Blackpool North if you walk straight down the prom. Be careful lads if you go out drinking esp after the game, as The Muckers (Blackpools firm) have been very lively this season, smashing bars and pubs up with travelling fans in. There's trouble nearly every game.
Staf Posted 22 January 2008 Posted 22 January 2008 Getting my tickets for this tomorrow will be a few new players on show for this games considering the transfer window closes a couple of days before this game
lavrentis Posted 22 January 2008 Posted 22 January 2008 Does anyone reckon this one will be a sell out?

Floating Fox Posted 22 January 2008 Posted 22 January 2008 Any news on travel? No not yet mate. Will be highly unlikely as LD3 et all aren't going to wanted to pay 20+ for the train. Well I doubt so.
SantiagoFox Posted 22 January 2008 Posted 22 January 2008 No not yet mate. Will be highly unlikely as LD3 et all aren't going to wanted to pay 20+ for the train. Well I doubt so. Greetings son. Cranky question : has anyone ever gone one-way on Fox Travel ? e.g. get a lift to the match, have a few jars, watch match, leave well-off mates at b and b, then return on the dreaded bus ?
SamL Posted 22 January 2008 Posted 22 January 2008 Greetings son.Cranky question : has anyone ever gone one-way on Fox Travel ? e.g. get a lift to the match, have a few jars, watch match, leave well-off mates at b and b, then return on the dreaded bus ? You're asking the wrong person. This guy detests Fox Travel, he's a train man
SantiagoFox Posted 22 January 2008 Posted 22 January 2008 You're asking the wrong person. This guy detests Fox Travel, he's a train man Likewise, but the train back includes over an hour on a replacement smeggy bus just to get 15 miles down the road to Preston. An I do know our Health And Safety man!!

Ah right, fair enough pal. If you told the ticket office that you were only wanting to travel one way then i'm sure they wouldn't mind, providing you paid the full cost.

Yeah you can do that. It's the same price as a return though, I know the supporters buses (i.e Not fox travel) have done so before. Just buy a fox travel ticket, they won't say anything. Don't really fancy Leics - B'pool on Fox Travel though
lildave3 Posted 22 January 2008 Posted 22 January 2008 No not yet mate. Will be highly unlikely as LD3 et all aren't going to wanted to pay 20+ for the train. Well I doubt so. Whoa, if it's train for 20 quid or don't go, then it's train. Yes?
potter3 Posted 22 January 2008 Posted 22 January 2008 Whoa, if it's train for 20 quid or don't go, then it's train. Yes? You getting the train? And not staying? Is that right?
