It's Very Quiet!

We haven't had an Ollie press release or rant for at least 1 hour :whistle:icon4.gif

Did anybody understand what was meant in the whole 'transfer window is a joke' thing?

I kind of get it but surely we should have enough strength in depth (which we don't) to cope with injuries?

Maybe we shoudl recall Martin Allen to update us about the six-a-side cup on the training ground, and how well his dog is doing. God I miss that.

The jist of it is that the big clubs have huge squads to cover injuries because if a player is injured they cannot buy a new player like they used to do in the olden days. Holloway hates this because a lot of the most talented young players are not playing first team football because they are stuck in limbo at the bigger clubs and not playing for Leicester City FC.

Or perhaps all the interviews were done yesterday, like they usually are on a Thursday. But the interviewers release the info at different times.

Posted by Jon Barber on BBC 606...not really anything we didn't already know but he reckons one of the signings will be one of three trialists.

Hi There,

Ollie listed the players that he was after, which included 2 wingers, a midfielder and maybe a striker and a defender. He didn't mention a goalkeeper the other day.

I dont think the means that he is ruling out bringing another 'keeper to the club though. Paul Henderson has always been a very good understudy for me, but I think City do need a new face.

Jimmy Nielsen and Rab Douglas are both leaving, so I think it is an area they need to strengthen.

I have seen the specualtion about the Spurs keeper also. Ian told me yesterday that he had got three deals done, and they were just finishing them off. I don't know who they are, but guess at least one of them will be one of the trialists that he had in.

Rab is going nowere yet, he's on daft money, likes the area (Quorn), kids are settled at school, taking his coaching badges and plans to stick around after his contract ends in the summer.

Until then we pay his fat wages whilst he swans around in his Bentley....who can blame him?!

Jimmy I beleive has got a couple of years to run
