Then take the risk mate, If they don't like it then they know what they can do :scarf:

exactly! unless they are in the designated family section they should expect strong language

I like to pretend I am a gentleman though :giggle: I wouldn't shout obscenitys in front of nippers.

Ok heres the (Imaginary) situation -

The club have agreed to swap the "kop" & family stand.

  1. The South Stand would be called the Family Stand
  2. The North Stand would now be called the Kop.

What would you do?

Think I covered all the options but If you chose other, please post! :D

I sit in L1

I would stay in L1

Bit harsh don't you think?

Not at all. I know Tommo.

The idea is to build on what we already have with L1, then you get two singing sections, ala Southampton.

I would love that to happen, would be clarsss! But sadly i can't see it happening, but if you boys keep it up things may change in the future.

The option of "I sit in the family stand and wouldn't move" has got some voteage. That is not good. That means the 'new Kops' songs will be making dogs all around the walkers go barmy because of all the young'uns high pitch squealing. Kids under 16 shouldn't be allowed in the kop.

High5 to that

Fair play, why dont you just sit in The Kop now?

I go with my dad and he like's padded seats  If the Kop and Family stand got switched this season then I would just buy tickets in there for the rest of the season and then get a season ticket in there next season :) At the minute though I'm not prepared to buy a ticket for every home game just to sit with a handfull of singers at the back of the kop. I'm part of the problem at the moment

Will the kop moving to the family stand really create a better all round atmosphere? The new kop, away support and L1 may be buzzing but the East, West and new family stand would still be relatively quiet.

I guess if you crave a great atmosphere so much you wont care that the rest of the place is mediocre as long as you're in the noisy bit.

Sorry if this post is negative and I'm not judging anyone ok

Haha, least you admit it. I do the same though mate I either by tickets in K1 or J3. But would move to the "New Kop" straight away and maybe pur-chase a season ticket.

Don't quite understand what your saying.

Your never going to have a complete stadium all singing there hearts out. They don't even have that in the countries where the completly ****ing bonkers!

What your saying is that the rest of the stadium would be mediocre? Well isn't move of the stadium mediocre at the moment anyway?

There has to be a certain cut off age. I see where your coming from though. There would have to be some sort of compromise.

There is a massive calling for this switch, that will not be silenced untill it's done. If the few determined people E.g. SUAS, Ched, JME, keep hammering away then I'm sure it will happen. Something big needs to happen aswell though, banners and songs about switching the stands and perhaps an eye catching petition (yes its been done many times) would do the trick :dunno:

14 is a decent number tbf. Should draw the line at that. Anyway it doesn't matter what I think because the decision will be made ultimately by people that sit executive boxes.

Ok, I see what you mean. Would that make you one of the people that crave atmosphere so much they arent too concerned about the quiet area's as long as they're sitting in the noisy part?

Is that what the whole idea is about, improving the atmosphere for those that want it, the rest of the ground can carry on as normal?

Sorry if this reads like I'm being awkward, its just an innocent question.

good luck with that

i'd switch the away fans personally...i know it would require a bit of reorganisation but surely that's better than pissing around with the STHs
