Fez of Mahrez Posted 17 January 2008 Posted 17 January 2008 Quite an influential and well-known figure concerning LCFC once assured me we would sell Delaney for more than we got for Heskey.
The People's Hero Posted 17 January 2008 Posted 17 January 2008 Quite an influential and well-known figure concerning LCFC once assured me we would sell Delaney for more than we got for Heskey. Name and shame. That's even more than the £10million Connolly is worth eh Thracian?
shen Posted 17 January 2008 Posted 17 January 2008 Name and shame. That's even more than the £10million Connolly is worth eh Thracian? How long do you plan to continue this frankly stupid hetz? All you ever seem to do is have a dig at Thracian at every opportunity, and to what effect?
Jay Posted 17 January 2008 Posted 17 January 2008 who's the brains behind these transfers at QPR, they have an italian with no experience in England and are signing players like Delaney and Agyemang sounds like the foundations for trouble ahead imo I notice he is down as coach and not a manager on the website is the Paladini make the choices of who he signs? seems strange to me whats going on

Some bizarre signings going on down there. I don't think Delaney and Agyemang to name but two are any better than what they already have pre-investment (i.e. Stewart and Blackstock)

Source At the time he came to us someone actually called him "the new Duncan Edwards" Ultimate comparison indeed !
Staf Posted 17 January 2008 Posted 17 January 2008 I actually remember him at Leicester will be a good signing for QPR they will be championship winners next year
Staf Posted 17 January 2008 Posted 17 January 2008 They're only signing average players.. True, but to be fair they are all good at championship level players like Vine, Hall are good for the championship
dave_the_fox Posted 17 January 2008 Posted 17 January 2008 All i can really remember him for was for an amazing volley that smashed into the crossbar! i think ....
Asha Posted 17 January 2008 Posted 17 January 2008 Not really ever much of an effect to be honest...older and more experienced now though.
Bryn Posted 17 January 2008 Posted 17 January 2008 As someone who has tracked his growth at Hull I can say that he is a very decent centreback. He hasn't really played midfield properly for years now but he's a sound centreback, unfortunately wasn't better than Turner and Brown at Hull.

Thracian Posted 17 January 2008 Posted 17 January 2008 Name and shame. That's even more than the £10million Connolly is worth eh Thracian? I see they named those bees after you - the drones. I don't know if you ever manage to keep a woman but if not I can imagine why. If you disagreed or had a row about something you'd never just have it out and forget it - you'd go on and on like water dripping on a stalagmite. Ten years later you'd still bring it up. And 10 years after that. Drip, drip, drip. I'm sure someone wrote that it was a sign of insecurity. Besides, my conscience is clear. Start high and you can come down as I said at the time and most people though £3m was a fine figure for Connolly As for your good self what was it you said about McAuley: "I'd take anything over £250k for the lad." You'd get more than that in a fire sale!
Darkzzz_ Posted 17 January 2008 Posted 17 January 2008 Thats a blast from the past!! Forgot he Existed!! I quite liked him... although i remember his gnome expression more than anything!!
Hullfox Posted 17 January 2008 Posted 17 January 2008 I see they named those bees after you - the drones. Rather that than a part of the female anatomy.
The People's Hero Posted 18 January 2008 Posted 18 January 2008 I see they named those bees after you - the drones. Who was it who was asking about irony..? Oooh and who was the poster who famously asked what a 'hypocrite' was?! Please please, just see above. Speaks volumes more than any dictionary!
Geo V Posted 18 January 2008 Posted 18 January 2008 Who said Peter Taylor cant unearth quality players?
WetFlannel Posted 18 January 2008 Posted 18 January 2008 Who else saw the quote in the newspaper... QPR aim to reach the champions league in 4 years Good luck with that... Doubt its true, but its all good QPR having the money and that they will now dominate the championship, but they're signing very average players and I doubt they will do well next season

Doubt its true, but its all good QPR having the money and that they will now dominate the championship, but they're signing very average players and I doubt they will do well next season MA has shown thats its not about money, its about signing the right players and having a balanced team and thats not easy. QPR have some advantages as they apparently are setting up links with some big Serie A clubs to get class kids in on loan to help their development. If that happens then they should be a handful next season.
