Ikon_Klow Posted 20 January 2008 Posted 20 January 2008 Apparently we are after him for £1million as Cardiff need the money for Rob Earnshaw. Not sure about this one. He was rubbish at Leeds. Also, it is in the People which is known for lazy journalism.

Leicfox Posted 20 January 2008 Posted 20 January 2008 Wiki... During his career McPhail has attracted criticism at most of his clubs mainly due to many fans feeling that while he is a very talented player he sometimes fails to live up to his ability. At Leeds he was often criticised due to some fans feeling that he often did not give his all for the team for the full 90 minutes and was often weak in possession. At Cardiff he has received criticism due to his reluctance to shoot which led to him taking more than a year to find his first goal for the club. No Thanks.
Sparky Posted 20 January 2008 Posted 20 January 2008 Pay the £1million so we can rid of that shower of shite Earnshaw. Mr Finnegan wont be happy with you

Anyone can edit it, so its very possible an angry or annoyed fan will of written that. I could, for instance, edit Matty Fryatts profile and say he is well known for his gay romps with Levein. Wouldnt be true of course but hey...

Thracian Posted 20 January 2008 Posted 20 January 2008 stuff mcphail we should go after earnshaw. Absolutely.
lee7 Posted 20 January 2008 Posted 20 January 2008 You would rather have Paul Parry than Joe Ledley he scored 2 yesterday for cardiff and is a decent winger.
act smiley Posted 20 January 2008 Posted 20 January 2008 They're both quality players, Parry is pretty much an out-and-out winger while Ledley seems more flexible and and is younger, but Parry would probably be the more affordable of the two. If either of them came here I'd be rather excited, though at a push I'd have to go with Ledley, even though I adore Parry. As for McPhail, dear god no, he's never been better than hopeless any time I've seen him. A waste of space like him is the last thing we need.
Guest Posted 20 January 2008 Posted 20 January 2008 McPhail, Gareth Williams anyone? Was thinking exactly that when it said 'failed to live up to ability'
RowlattsFox Posted 20 January 2008 Posted 20 January 2008 I'm sure i remember lots of people saying we should have signed him when Cardiff got him on a free transfer from Barnsley, I think he would provide reasonable back up for Clemence and Oakley, although £1m is too much.
teblin Posted 21 January 2008 Posted 21 January 2008 They took this rumour from football-rumours. Though if there is anything in it, he wouldn't be a bad signing. We need back up for centre mid. am i right in thinking he can also play wide?

The People's Hero Posted 21 January 2008 Posted 21 January 2008 He's quality. Would be well chuffed with this. Aye. Agreed, I've always rated him. Welcome to the forum btw, what's the story behind the username?
The Reverend Posted 21 January 2008 Posted 21 January 2008 Would be good for next to nothing,or a straight swap for Elvis, but for a million? No chance.
dandannieldanok Posted 21 January 2008 Posted 21 January 2008 McPhail, Gareth Williams anyone? If he is as good as Williams he'd be a great signing.
