Raj Posted 30 January 2008 Posted 30 January 2008 HHHHHuuuuuummmmmmeeee!!!Some cvnt was gonna do it...might as well be me!!! HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUME Disclaimer: I'm drunk and hungry, hence too lazy to see if anyone else has done this yet just to wind up Daggers How VERY immature. P.S I wasnt drunk or off me head(unlike some...Ahem!)) Im just a bit of a knobhead!
Zingari Posted 30 January 2008 Posted 30 January 2008 The idea of support, in my head, is not congratulate good football but to create an atmosphere that may inspire it. Sounds a bit pompous to be sat there like a little emperor clapping what you see as good football and then getting angry when fans support a player and get behind him. From reading your threads I'm pretty sure you know the game mate, and a lot of it's in the head as you know. He's not a dog that wants a biscuit for doing the right thing, it's about letting him know that he's got a crowd behind him. That can be a huge thing for a team. well said , can't argue with that

The Stig Posted 30 January 2008 Posted 30 January 2008 no i'm pretty much silent like the other 20 odd thousand fans around me. if hume wasn't there i'd dread to think what the atmosphere would be like. i see the point of this thread but at the end of the day, complaining about cheering one of our players is stupid Wrong answer. SING MAN.

You've answered the inevitable question that you raise with your own point: Creating an atmosphere to encourage the team does not rely on celebrating one individual for his errors. If you can't see this then there is nothing I am going to be able to add to anything I have posted so far to illuminate the point.

You're reading far too much in to it mate.
Daggers Posted 30 January 2008 Author Posted 30 January 2008 It's nothing to do with celebrating errors. You're reading far too much in to it mate. Nope - but as I said, there appears to be nothing I can write to explain it to you so it's best to leave it there.

Nope - but as I said, there appears to be nothing I can write to explain it to you so it's best to leave it there. You're both right. Yes, i can understand your point Daggers, it does get somewhat irritating continually hearing a players name chanted when he is playing badly and passing the ball off the pitch, but it wont do Hume himselfany harm and perhaps may help him move up a gear. It is annoying, but i cant see it as a bad thing. Yes its irritating, but if it helps Hume get another 2% out of his performance, then carry on doing it, because that could mean the difference.
sdb Posted 30 January 2008 Posted 30 January 2008 Wrong answer. SING MAN. no, no. that was an exaggeration but i never sing on my own and my point was that the atmosphere at the walkers in generally pretty crap. i think we all accept that.
Shrenchel Posted 30 January 2008 Posted 30 January 2008 no, no. that was an exaggeration but i never sing on my own and my point was that the atmosphere at the walkers in generally pretty crap. i think we all accept that. It's crap cus 22,000 are worried about singing on their own. It takes a few people to endure others around them looking at them like they're completely conkers in order to get things going.
sdb Posted 30 January 2008 Posted 30 January 2008 true but you can aim that at everyone. i just tend to wait for the fat drunk people! in fairness i'd be more vocal but i have no mates who support leicester so every time i go to the walkers i have to drag along unwilling friends or family members which doesnt help

If your firghtened of singing move to the back of the Kop, the more singers we get in the Kop the better.

Flynny Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 I nearly screamed in the first half when he miscontrolled the ball, chased it to the flank, nearly lost it again and finally just managed to win a throw in for us 10 yards from the byline and got a massive "Huuuuume". Ridiculous. Had a smashing game though.
Joe. Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 From what I saw today he was MOM today. Deserved his plaudits for this one.

mickydeeeuk Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 MOM absolutely no doubt about it!! i try not to get personal on these sites but i will make an exception to say that if you are, or have been guilty of trying to hound out one of our best players then i think you are a cock! rant over!
Zingari Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 Are you Amanda or Sam ? which do you prefer ? [
MikeyT Posted 16 February 2008 Posted 16 February 2008 which do you prefer ? I have no idea who either are but i like the one in the yellow top! Other one looks a bit of a slapper!
