Simi Posted 20 February 2008 Posted 20 February 2008 Mandaric confirmed that he had been left 'astonished' by the level of loyalty and dedication that has been shown by the Club's fans since he began his tenure at the Walkers Stadium 12 months ago.Speaking to the club's official website, Mandaric said: "I would like to thank our fans from the bottom of my heart for the tremendous support they have given the team since I arrived here. "The passion and faith that they have displayed has been unbelievable. "The fact that we have already sold almost 4,000 tickets for our trip to Coventry is outstanding and I know for a fact that all of the management team, players and staff here are very thankful. "We have such a huge fan base here and that produces positive pressure on us to give the supporters back some reward. They are really demonstrating what they feel for the club with their backing and not too many clubs could have that." Interesting. Let's look back. Palace - 1,300 Scunny - 700 Colchester - 500 Preston - 400 Charlton - 1,000 Wolves - 800 Hull - 300 QPR - 800 Ipswich - 500 Blackpool - 1,700 Let's compare to the Carling Cup. Chelsea - 6,244 Forest - 5,000 Villa - 4,000
maddog Posted 20 February 2008 Posted 20 February 2008 I was at all those Cup games. Not been to a single League away game though. I suppose i am some sort of glory supporter, in the fact that i only go to League away games if we start winning games in the League. At least im not like some of my mates, live in Leicester, yet say how shit Leicester are and claim to support MAN UTD!!! Yet how many Man Utd games have they been to, 0-2 in their lifetimes
maddog Posted 20 February 2008 Posted 20 February 2008 Paul Mc cartnry is performing the na na na na song played just before leicester games kick off :D Totel Bollocks Mandaric. A lot of those away games were on sky. You can't expect people to pay £40 about for travel ticket etc, when they can watch it for free on the tele. Scunny, Colchester and Wolves were all on sky. Can't see many going to Cardiff i think thats on sky aswell

Koke Posted 20 February 2008 Posted 20 February 2008 **** you lot. Obviously Milan is saying it just to say some good words about us. He can't just come out and slag us off. Its either keep quite or praise them, and he decided to praise us. But I don't blame people turning their back on the club after having NO relative success to any degree whatsoever in the past 4 years. As Ric Flair pointed out last week, we must be the only club in this division who have been shit consistently for 4 or so years. I mean really consistent. Rant over.
maddog Posted 20 February 2008 Posted 20 February 2008 Sky subscription, Television License etc. I meant in the pub or local club. or round someone's house who has sky.

Its either keep quite or praise them, and he decided to praise us. Rant over. Call that a rant? I knew someone would come out with that line sooner or later. Very predictable. How about he praises us at a time when we really need it and we've took minimal fans to shit holes when we've been playing shit?
Maybes Posted 20 February 2008 Posted 20 February 2008 I meant in the pub or local club. or round someone's house who has sky. Cardiff isn't on sky is it??
maddog Posted 20 February 2008 Posted 20 February 2008 But then you would have to pay for drinks in the pub or pay to join a club. I just retract all my comments in this thread intirely.

How about he praises us at a time when we really need it and we've took minimal fans to shit holes when we've been playing shit? When i got home from Burnley, I always hoped Mandaric thanked the fans for turning up on a Tuesday December night. Same applies to Preston and Hull aswell. It took me a facebook message of Richard Stearman to apoligize for Hull.
Simi Posted 20 February 2008 Author Posted 20 February 2008 Cardiff isn't on sky is it?? No, the home match was.
ASH17LCFC Posted 20 February 2008 Posted 20 February 2008 Leicester have been singing hey jude for years and i for one am glad it has been found and played before kick off. Was a real Leicester song unlike we're the right side

How about he praises us at a time when we really need it and we've took minimal fans to shit holes when we've been playing shit? Its a small 1 minute rant I'm with you on that, but as if Milan is gonna come out and say "Yeah well done to the 300 lads & lasses who went to Hull today". I wish he did, but not gonna happen. Either way, our away support will gradually become better when the football becomes better.
