maddog Posted 20 February 2008 Posted 20 February 2008 No, the home match was. ooops i got that wrong then Sorry!
ASH17LCFC Posted 20 February 2008 Posted 20 February 2008 and we sold all our tickets for the Norwich game
Simi Posted 20 February 2008 Author Posted 20 February 2008 Its a small 1 minute rant I'm with you on that, but as if Milan is gonna come out and say "Yeah well done to the 300 lads & lasses who went to Hull today". Either way, our away support will gradually become better when the football becomes better. Why shouldn't/wouldn't he want to come and say that? Time after time the fans who follow this club home and away every game get disregarded and shit on by the masses, who beg, borrow and steal to get tickets for the big games.
Maybes Posted 20 February 2008 Posted 20 February 2008 No, the home match was. Maddog said he cant see many going to cardiff as its on sky aswell
Simi Posted 20 February 2008 Author Posted 20 February 2008 and we sold all our tickets for the Norwich game Which, surprisingly was after the messiah like match against Cov, at home.

I do agree with you on that point, mate. I also wish he'd come out in those circumstances.
Maybes Posted 20 February 2008 Posted 20 February 2008 I do agree with you on that point, mate. I also wish he'd come out in those circumstances. Burnley away was the pinacle. What a game. I am fed up of wasting my hard earned money on city. Im starting to get annoyed but I keep doing it!
ASH17LCFC Posted 20 February 2008 Posted 20 February 2008 Which, surprisingly was after the messiah like match against Cov, at home. So ? People are not gonna pay out good money to watch us lose and lose well are they ? If we started winning we would sell alot more. After 4 years of shit, its great that we can still take 5000 away to a league game.

But why are they now getting praise for coming to a game after we've just won one home game?
lildave3 Posted 20 February 2008 Posted 20 February 2008 I'd prefer it if he just didn't praise us at all rather than just times like these. I'm not going to games to get praised, but like Ched says, it's annoying to know that you've been to places like Preston and Ipswich on a Tuesday night and hear nothing, but when we suddenly play a big club in the cup, or sell 4/5's of our allocation for a game against our biggest rivals in this division, then he's suddenly out praising the fairweathers. All beacuse he's getting more money from it I presume.
ASH17LCFC Posted 20 February 2008 Posted 20 February 2008 But why are they now getting praise for coming to a game after we've just won one home game? Milan thanking people for showing us support still and getting behind Ollie and making the trip. Milan knows we're had a shit time and he's thanking us for still making these derby matches important, with 5000 of us making the trip. I like Milans style and i was happy to read what he said in today Mercury.

But the majority of the people going to this match are the fans that have jumped on after we've won a match, thinking we're out the shit and we're gonna start winning again.
Corky Posted 20 February 2008 Posted 20 February 2008 It would have been nice for Mandaric to have praised all those who went to Ipswich on a Tuesday night, S****horpe, Colchester, but its obvious he wouldn't. We were always going to take more to the big games at Forest, Villa and Chelsea. I didn't go to any of those but hey, life goes on. It just annoyed me when some bloke said "I HAD to go to Chelsea". Why? How about the club praises those fans who have been to some obscure places following this team, like Rotherham, Blackpool, Colchester, Southend for instance?
Koke Posted 20 February 2008 Posted 20 February 2008 Yes, that's all well and good. But the majority of the people going to this match are the fans that have jumped on after we've won a match, thinking we're out the shit and we're gonna start winning again. Yes that, and also the fact that its 20 minutes down the road. Last year we took 3.000 to Derby and we were utter shite. So local proximity has a lot to do with this.
Joe. Posted 20 February 2008 Posted 20 February 2008 Yes, that's all well and good. But the majority of the people going to this match are the fans that have jumped on after we've won a match, thinking we're out the shit and we're gonna start winning again. And the small matter of it being only just over 25 miles away
Bert Posted 20 February 2008 Posted 20 February 2008 It really pisses me off that we can sell 5000 for Coventry and get branded "great support" It's the nearest away trip of the season for crying out loud. Where's the praise for the people that went Plymouth (complete mission), Burnley, Preston, (weeknights before Christmas) Hull (Shit performance, before Christmas) etc? We only nearly sold out Norwich, because we played well and beat Cov. Majority of the people that went to Blackpool only went " because it was Blackpool and you could go for the weekend" Where was the recognition, for watching a shit first half, standing up, with the wind blowing in your face, in a stand that has no roof?
Floating Fox Posted 20 February 2008 Posted 20 February 2008 I just retract all my comments in this thread intirely. Jesus, You really are an arse! At least if your going to make stupid comments that you believe in, take the abuse like a man and stand by your comments not "retract" them because your taking aload of flack. I like Milans style and i was happy to read what he said in today Mercury. Why do people think we're the only club in the world who've played shite for 4 years? It's bollocks. We don't belong in the premiership, no matter what people say! Comments like those are very patronising to those of us who actually stick or neck out week in week out and make these games, come rain or shine - We'll be there.

I do understand were your coming from ched i really do. Your one of them people who go no matter what. Preston or Plymouth on a tuesday night and i wish more people were like you. I use to go all the away matches around 2 years ago. Didn't matter if we were shit, i just thought about supporting the team and being there because i love Leicester no matter what. If i had the Money every week i would go every game. Still your always gonna have the people who jump on the bandwagon after we're won a game and playing cov away next game. Take Chelsea away, most people who went haven't been away in years but i still class winning at forest bigger then taking a 3-2 lead at chelsea. I rather beat Forest then Chelsea anyday. I am going Maybes

I went Blackpool away in the a 3rd round replay about 3 year ago. Had no roof and was raining and alot more colder. I had a GCSE the day after but i still made the trip. If i had the money, i for one would be there every game.
Joe. Posted 20 February 2008 Posted 20 February 2008 Don't show me up on here. Are you not even going to that one Drew?!
