In patches you played some good stuff. But it's easy to do that in this division against inconsistent sides and teams that are running out of puff. And that's us. First game of the season seems a long time ago now though it really sticks in my mind. Great stadium, brill atmosphere, terrible heat, no drink. It was like Mexico in '86! Reminded me of a Prem game - you seemed formidable, even when you went down to ten men. Not now. You won't go down but don't build your hopes up for next season. Some teams in this division used to fear you and the rest respected you but not anymore. You've lost it away from home. At least under Adams you could win, even if you weren't good to watch. It's between us and the Blades for the last play off slot. Don't feel too confident about it at the moment. We'll have to stick with Pardew I guess until the end of the season. Same for you. MADLEVEIN Posted 19 March 2005 Posted 19 March 2005 just woke my drunken head up, i thought we played well in patches last night and hughes is definitley going to be the player the team is built around. we need to get that one win under our belts though, it was a good point at a ground where we normally get hammered, excuse the pun, but if bywater had walked we probably would of won and thats the bit of luck we need at the minute. we will be challenging for a play-off spot at least next season and hope we find a striker that can actually put the ball in the net, if we had tony cottee this season we would be in the top six easily.
