acooling08 Posted 26 February 2008 Posted 26 February 2008 Because of N'Gotty playing as McCauley is suspended i thought it would be a decent discussion. Kis and McCauley have a good solid partnership usually play very well. N'Gotty is more experienced and has been with big clubs like Bolton and AC Milan
TrickyTrev Posted 26 February 2008 Posted 26 February 2008 N'Gotty is more experienced and has been with big clubs like Bolton. That is like saying Paul McCartney has written some great songs like the frog chorus. AC Milan or Bolton!!!!! N'Gotty is twice the player McAuley is. McAuley is a fraud; can't pass, no pace, fouls all the time and is prone to error. Why oh why we didn't sell him when we had the chance I don't know.
STUHILL Posted 26 February 2008 Posted 26 February 2008 McAuley and Kisnorbo always fill me with confidence, especially at this level. They're are both on long contracts and should have some stability together. I think the Centrebacks are the least of our worries at the moment. N'Gotty good back-up for this season.
Joe. Posted 26 February 2008 Posted 26 February 2008 McAuley and Kisnorbo. No doubts for me. Bruno can be solid enough, but I still fear at times. McAuley and Kisnorbo are both like that sometimes but generally I think they are better defenders.
lildave3 Posted 26 February 2008 Posted 26 February 2008 Not Bruno. I'd rather see Stearman in there than Bruno.
STUHILL Posted 26 February 2008 Posted 26 February 2008 Not Porter and Hammond??? nah hammond would still find a way of straying offside!!!
Simon Posted 26 February 2008 Posted 26 February 2008 I think Hellings can play at the back. Is he STILL here?!!!!

Yep agree with that!
STUHILL Posted 26 February 2008 Posted 26 February 2008 N'Gotty and Kisnorbo Why though? the only problem i can see with McAuley is his lack of pace, but N'Gotty is slower!!
CaptainClemence Posted 26 February 2008 Posted 26 February 2008 What has Bruno done wrong? He hasn't cost us goals like Mcauley, Kisnorbo, and Stearman have this season. He has been solid and hasn't made mistakes. His distribution is much better than Mcauley. Bruno should be in the starting 11 all the time for me.

Bruno's hardly played that's why he's made few mistakes. I honestly believe if Bruno played more regularly he'd make more mistakes than McAuley or Kisnorbo.

Joe. Posted 26 February 2008 Posted 26 February 2008 You're wrong about Bruno "not making mistakes" by the way, he does make them. And what's to about?
potter3 Posted 26 February 2008 Posted 26 February 2008 Why though? the only problem i can see with McAuley is his lack of pace, but N'Gotty is slower!! N'Gotty is more composed, he's not quite as good in the air as McAuley but he's a lot better on the floor, and can actually pass it. He's able to make up for his slowness through his other abilities.

Bruno made 1 or 2 mistakes in the however many minutes he played on Saturday.

Tommy G Posted 26 February 2008 Posted 26 February 2008 Not Bruno.I'd rather see Stearman in there than Bruno. Same. Bruno is past it. I'd like to see how Stearman gets on at CB as a trial, he's got 15 years of playing ahead of him whereas N'Gotty has got a year at most before he picks up his final pay cheque.
Chromophobia Posted 26 February 2008 Posted 26 February 2008 N'Gotty is over the hill, and the one after that too.

(Sorry, didn't read similar posts before mine - just read first couple.)
