Play him an attacking midfield role with Hume and Howard up front. He deserves to be playing, why doesn't Ollie see it!!!!

I fail to see what he's going to offer us in that position either, other than help us get turned over in centre midfield even more.

Yet we still get the "du du du du Matty Fryatt" chants out whenevere we're losing. He's not even going to come off the bench. He's fifth choice striker at this club at the moment. And really? Is Matty Fryatt going to sort out our goalscoring problems? Don't be silly. He's had his chances this season and he's done virtually nothing. A loan spell would be so much more beneficiary than bench warming at this club. He's just not as good as so many fans still think he is...

Fatbloke Posted 28 February 2008 Posted 28 February 2008 unfortunately I am not as eloquent with the written word as many of you within this forum clearly are, I simply feel that Matty has more natrual talent than any of our current squad, including our much lauded youngsters, he retains possession superbly well and unlike Thracian, who is clearly the font of all knowledge, I think he has within him a very good eye for goal, I would also disagree about his "chances" within the starting 11, I think a player needs a run of, say, 10 games to form a partnership and get in the goalscoring groove, all this is of course my opinion and one that is clearly not shared either within Foxestalk or indeed by our Manager.

Fryatt - 2 goals in 17 starts. There's one reason. Another is that he possesses the pace and intelligence to play of Howard. Fryatt doesn't have pace and is not the type of player that plays on the shoulder of the last defender. When he's had a chance this year, he's not excelled. I agree he's looked threatening in some games, but he's not turned it into anything of note all season really.
