SamL Posted 19 June 2008 Author Posted 19 June 2008 I'm nearly ready to put in for my practical test but the lack of theory is holding me back. I've got my theory test on Monday so hopefully I pass that and then put in for my practical.

You dont need to have had any practical lessons to pass your theory - you just need to learn what you need to know for the theory test. So no - its never too early as long as you've revised and know it - which gives you a few weeks. It's not too difficult - i got 34/35, but i was lucky, i did it just before the amount of questions went up to i think 55 is it now?

Mmmmm error, theres a waiting list similar to that of the actual test aswel isnt there. You cant just book it and take it in a few days. My instructor made me take mine virtually as soon as i'd had a few lessons. I passed my theory at the end of August, and my real test last week (June), so you can see that i virtually did it straight away.

Congrats mate, pleased for you, it is such a relief isn't it?! I used to hate going on my lessons, but when that Examiner said congrats you have passed i just didn't care, i was so relieved.... I actually got 4 minors, i failed my theory test first time, but i really did not do my theory disks, although a lot of it is commen sense!! My advice would be to keep going, it really does open up a lot of doors, the flip side is that it is very expensive to run a car!!

Cheers mate, i've got it booked for 28th July I would advise anyone to revise for that! I failed my first theory on it. I didnt want to click that much due to the thing it said at the beggining! I've booked mine for three days after my holiday because I'll be reading Theory Book & Highway Code on plane & when im bored round the pool sunbathing I think.

Noel Edmonds Posted 23 June 2008 Posted 23 June 2008 I've had 10 lessons and have just about got reversing around left hand corner to test standard. I've only knocked over 17 people also... Good times.
