SamL Posted 5 July 2008 Author Posted 5 July 2008 Well done you 3 who have passed And just to add my usual post, still not sent off for my provisional yet. Do it, you won't regret it.
lildave3 Posted 5 July 2008 Posted 5 July 2008 Do it, you won't regret it. I know, but i'd rather go on holiday.
SamL Posted 5 July 2008 Author Posted 5 July 2008 I know, but i'd rather go on holiday. Fair point. I think I probably would as well.
Darkzzz_ Posted 5 July 2008 Posted 5 July 2008 Get that provisional in Lil Dave, it certainly opens up a lot of locked doors!
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 5 July 2008 Posted 5 July 2008 Thinking of starting now all of my mates can drive and I feel like a cripple. Can anyone recommend a decent/cheap instructor?
SamL Posted 5 July 2008 Author Posted 5 July 2008 Thinking of starting now all of my mates can drive and I feel like a cripple. Can anyone recommend a decent/cheap instructor? Depends on the area you live in really. Don't go with the British School of Motoring (BSM), they're very expensive and take you through too slowly.

SamL Posted 5 July 2008 Author Posted 5 July 2008 Live in Birstall. Ideally want someone cheap, don't want to spend too much on lessons. It's not really something you can do on the cheap. Most people need around 25 lessons, some people have less whilst some have more. Most instructors charge between £18-£24 but you will find it cheaper if you book a block of lessons rather than just singular ones. You'll need a Provisional license if you don't already have one. The tests don't come cheap either. It's £56.50 for your practical test and £30 for your theory.

Thought it'd be more to be honest.
Darkzzz_ Posted 5 July 2008 Posted 5 July 2008 My advice is to not go with one of these national instructors, like SamL says, they take you through at snails pace, i would try and find the best local instructor. Best off asking around, try family and friends.

Floating Fox Posted 6 July 2008 Posted 6 July 2008 Cheers. This guy is a god. Passed me first time. Cheap and even cheaper if you block book lessons He looks like MDV as well
