Don't be too downhearted. There's worse than you out there on the roads. If some of the shoppers on Leicester Market are anything to go by a good percentage of the population can't read the signs anyway. Or see them.

Better to fail a few theories than practical tests. Driving conditions were lethal today, was going down welford road and on the corner where you swing round to go past the swan and rushes, completely spun it 180, luckily there were no other cars nearby and God knows what the people at the bus stop across the road were thinking.

Something similar happened to my on my first attempt but the other way round to you. Better luck next time! I passed my practical test 2 weeks back. I got 8 minors which I was pretty pleased about, could have turned out differently though. I don't know what I was so nervous about before I started having my lessons. Anybody who has yet to take their driving test, just try to treat it like a normal driving lesson which might be easier said than done.
