SamL Posted 4 March 2008 Posted 4 March 2008 Anybody think we have a chance of winning the Test Series? It's the first day of the first test, New Zealand are 68-1 off 19 overs. Come on England.
Milky Posted 5 March 2008 Posted 5 March 2008 New Zealand should be there for the taking really, though its probably both nations worst test teams for a while.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 5 March 2008 Posted 5 March 2008 Most of New Zealands team have gone to the rebel league. Most of Englands team are crap. = Poor series
SamL Posted 5 March 2008 Author Posted 5 March 2008 New Zealand are 286-6 after the first days play. Could be worse.
The People's Hero Posted 5 March 2008 Posted 5 March 2008 I think there will be a result (ie not a draw). I can see NZ winning it, to be honest. Interested to see how this Ambrose ( ? ) and the likes of Sidebottom get on over there.

Ambrose hasn't really done a lot wrong, taken a catch and thats about it. It would be good for him to get a big score with the bat, give the lad some confidence. If we are going to have any chance of winning our batting has to fire. When was the last time our top 5 all got over 50 in an innings?
Simi Posted 5 March 2008 Posted 5 March 2008 Great catch from Cook in the slips. May of even been gully.
SamL Posted 6 March 2008 Author Posted 6 March 2008 Great catch from Cook in the slips. May of even been gully. It was awesome. Poor bowling display from England today. I can't see us winning this one anymore.
purpleronnie Posted 6 March 2008 Posted 6 March 2008 Why do we always put a night watchman in?...stupid. Apart from sidebottom, the bowling was terrible.
David O'Leary Posted 7 March 2008 Posted 7 March 2008 Most of New Zealands team have gone to the rebel league. Most of Englands team are crap. = Poor series New Zealand without Shane Bond= crap.
SamL Posted 8 March 2008 Author Posted 8 March 2008 Sidebottom hat-trick! NZ 147 - 8! Not bad going is it? Still a lot of work to do to win it. My moneys on a draw providing our batting line up doesn't collapse.
purpleronnie Posted 8 March 2008 Posted 8 March 2008 There cant be any other result than a draw but at least we had one good day. we need to have 3 or 4.
Milky Posted 8 March 2008 Posted 8 March 2008 There cant be any other result than a draw but at least we had one good day. we need to have 3 or 4. and i suppose you knew it was going to happen
Brainy Posted 8 March 2008 Posted 8 March 2008 Looking forward to the last day. I may stay up and watch some of it.

Milky Posted 9 March 2008 Posted 9 March 2008 Oh bollox! and now it's 60-6. classic stuff. make that 60-7 now. pooooooooooooooo
Finchy Posted 9 March 2008 Posted 9 March 2008 Terrible day for us as far as sport is concerned i guess. Obviously, City should have won. Tiger lost and are now 3rd. England lost to Scotland ffs. And now this
SamL Posted 9 March 2008 Author Posted 9 March 2008 That was atrocious. I knew it was coming as soon as they left us chasing 300, we were never going to make it. The batting was poor throughout whilst the bowling as too inconsistent. The only positive is the immense catching from our fielders
accessory Posted 9 March 2008 Posted 9 March 2008 Too many players are living on past glories. Vaughan is no longer up to it as an international captain, or Harmison as a bowler. Both should be dropped. And Peter Moores is clearly not up to the job as a coach. It looks like we're heading to our third straight series defeat and our fifth tour without a win. Time for the board to wield the axe before the summer starts.
