Filbo Fox - Your optimism is becoming absolutely ridiculous. If you can't see that we're in trouble then you're mad.

I can see we aren't playing that well and that we are struggling but as far as I can tell, we have the team, we are improving and we WILL get the results enough to stay up... I can't see why everyone is so fooking doom and gloom, are we 10 point's adrift? NO! So there is plenty to be hopeful about!!!

According to todays N.O.W. [ go on say it ] holloways got to get rid of ngotty & douglas who are on £36k a week between them. And it looks like the relationship with him and MM is going a bit sour with MM telling him last week that results MUST improve.

I spoke to one of the senior stewards yesterday day and he told us lot that IH has been told that he MUST get at least 4 points from the next 2 games.

There's a difference between being optimistic and not having us relegated already. If we had games in hand everyone on here would be convinced that we'd lose them and that they didn't count. The teams below us aren't suddenly any more likely to start a 5 game winning streak than we are.

Hold your nerve we can do this.

Still failing to notice that we've lost at home to one of our main relegation rivals in Preston. We've got to play all the teams below us at home, who we haven't beat this season apart from Sheff Wed. We've got some very tough away games, West Brom and Stoke battling for automatic promotion. Our strikers haven't scored in ages.

Call it negativity or call it reality. We'll see soon enough.

I'm not saying we're going down at all, mate. Although I have a horrible feeling inside me.

I just don't see how Filbo cannot accept that we're in shit. Just seems that he's way to confident in the players that have got us down here in the first place.

The posts on this thread only go to prove how NEGATIVE Leicester fans are... I mean I support them whole heartedly but you lot are a disgrace! There is plenty to be positive about and we are starting to look like a team that should be near the top not the bottom! How can you then say that things are dire and everything is terrible and all our players are awful blah blah blah... you are all so boring to listen to! How about you start SUPPORTING the team and getting behind them and actually believing that we have the ability to stay up as I and many other positive fans do! Its that kind of support and determination that the players will feed on... what you don't realise is that all this negativity WILL channel into the players performances and then the end up losing... OK, we aren't the best team ever and we are going to suffer defeats but why can't you just get behind the team and show your loyalty!!! If you don't like supporting the team and are just going to be negative then fook off and support someone else like Man Utd or Arsenal who win week in week out as you are doing this club no favours with your constant whining!!!

The source of such negativity does NOT come from the fans!

It comes from watching four years of consistently abysmal lower-league football, fed to us by a succession of managers and players who should never have been allowed anywhere near our club.

Too many of those parasites are still around. Once they've led us to relegation they and their equally loathsome agents will be looking for another club so that they can seek to infest another club at this level.

We're not being negative. We're telling it as it is.

We are a poor side in performances, but COME ON, the team played MUCH better yesterday and we are improving and that should be giving us hope that we can survive... I am not saying that we are going to end up making a last gasp push for the play-offs which would be far too optimistic but I can realistically see us being safe this season... why you lot have all given up already is beyond me!

I'm sorry but if the fans would actually take a step back and look at the players we have at the club now, its on paper one of the best teams we have had in quite a while! You can't expect this team to SUDDENLY start winning matches after relegation a previous crap managers when the fans are still getting on their backs!!!

You need to forget the past as the vast majority of the players we have here now, had NOTHING to do with the crap from 2,3 or 4 years ago!!!

I'm down with optimism but playing well in one game has had no effect on us in the long run this season.

This season we've beat Palace - Followed by a loss to Blackpool, then three straight defeats.

Then beat Norwich 4-0 - Followed by a 2-0 loss.

A win away against Cardiff - Followed by a 1-0 loss to Preston.

Yes, it's negative. But it's the facts. We've seen false dawns of playing well so many times and they've meant nothing.

We should have won against Preston and Bristol City... OK, we didn't manage to score, but there are plenty of positives to take from the matches. Eventually we WILL score and as long as we keep playing like against Bristol then I can see us being safe this year. Why you lot all think that we are down and out already just is just frustrating and annoying as there are plenty of matches left and AT THE MOMENT, we aren't in the relegation zone AT ALL! Who says Sheff Wed are going to win either of their two games in hand!?!

Well if they don't we will be relegated, there are only 9 games to go.

I've not said we're already down at all. What I'm getting annoyed at if that you won't realise how bigger shit we've landed ourselves win. I've been reading people say "it will come" and "We will score soon" for weeks, it's not come yet. I beleive we have what it takes to stay up, but fact is, we're not showing that. It's a massive run in for us with some very good games. Motivation is key.

And its for precisely that reason that we will not improve. The players pick up on your constant barrage of negativity. Even when we see an improved performance, the fans STILL expect us to return to shit the next game. Why can't you just forget the past and try and MOVE ON... that way, we might get 2 straight wins and MIGHT stand a better chance of staying up... you lot expect FAR too much from this team that are fighting for survival... even if you lot have already given up!!!

But games are not played on paper, they're played on grass (or at our place, what passes for it lol). And the performances of these overpaid underachieving wasters have all too often not been good enough.

In previous seasons, the Forest and Leeds squads were considered to have too much quality to go down. But they still took the drop - and we will follow them.

How the hell can you accuse fans of getting on players' backs?

If anything, the continued popularity of both Hume and Fryatt (as shown again yesterday) suggests we're being too kind to them!

That's right, it's all our fault as the fans. I would like to apologise to the players for expecting to much.

But the simple fact is, that we ARE improving, the players ARE trying and you should start supporting them... how is this a dire situation... we are still well within reach of being safe and like you said, motivate the players and we will get the results as they will get more confidence.

soton (A) 1 - providing we don't go behind

west brom (A) 0 - any point a bonus

hull (H) 1 - minimum as they're playing well, in the play off hunt, could do with 3 though.

scounthorpe (H) 3 - must get 3 here

sheff utd (A) 0 - any point a bonus

colchester (H) 3 - must get 3 here

barnsley (A) 1 - minimum, hoping the FA cup heroics tire the players

maybe they draw at wmbley and have a replay the week before us (serious straw clutching)

sheff wed (H) 3 - must get 3 here

stoke (A) 0 - any point a bonus

so that's 12 points which are attainable, would 53 see us to safety?

lets hope WBA draw today, have a replay the week after next, so that they rest players on saturday, more straw clutching.

You've given up. Pathetic.

I can accuse you lot of getting on players backs as there is clearly an improvement having seen the Bristol City match, yet you STILL persist in believing that we aren't getting any better and aren't going to survive... WHY? SHOW SOME SUPPORT!!!!

Oh don't be such a cock, people are supporting the team, why else do you think we have the gates that we do after 5 years of utter tripe? Why do you think people are worried about the situation LCFC finds itself in? So supporting the team wholeheartedly means we have to walk around with our head up our arses so as not to see the reality of the situation. Even Ollie has now admitted as such and I bet Mandaric is quietly shitting himself.

As to whether we are playing like a team at the top doesn't matter we are still not winning or even scoring goals, you know those things that people go to see that WIN matches. Plenty of 'good' and well supported teams get relegated in spite of their on field performances.

Just because people, rightly or wrongly feel that our time may have come doesn't mean they don't/aren't supporting the team. And people that use this "If you don't like supporting the team and are just going to be negative then fook off and support someone else like Man Utd or Arsenal who win week in week" to suuport their argument are patronsing aresholes.

Personally I've supported LCFC for 45+ years and just because I feel, again rightly or wrongly we're going down doesn't warrant that sort of juvenile response.

Teams don't win games on paper they win them on the pitch - we aren't winning games - period!
