AoWW Posted 9 March 2008 Posted 9 March 2008 Oh fook it... I give up.Fine, have it your way... we are crap, there is no hope we are going to stay up, League 1 next year... League 2 the next... administration as Mandaric leaves... Leicester fall away to obscurity. Thats our future... the pessimistic way. You've made your point. Shush now...!!
davieG Posted 9 March 2008 Author Posted 9 March 2008 Maybe its just down to the persons belief in the team... I believe that things will come good as I see signs of improvement slowly but surely... Well let's hope for all our sakes it's not too little too late and too slowly!
turkish14 Posted 9 March 2008 Posted 9 March 2008 Stop throwing your f**king toys out and realise that people aren't being pessimistic, we're just being realistic. We are in 21st place, 2 points off the bottom three and the team in 22nd has two games in hand on us. We haven't scored in our last four games and have got two very tough away games coming up.If you don't see that as a recipe for relegation then god know what planet you're on. i dont think thats the point filbo fox is making! everyone knows we're shit, and its not lookin good for safety.but all we can do is try to be positive because its fast lookin like the only chance we have to survive.
Guest Posted 9 March 2008 Posted 9 March 2008 We've managed to win 9 out of the last 37 league games. That doesn't bode well for the remaining 9 games.

That doesn't bode well for the remaining 9 games. 1 in every 4... thats 2 wins from the rest of the games this year... and i'm sure we'll get a few draws... that'll mean around ±10 points = a total of 51 points... might be able to stay up with that... then again... maybe not.
FilboFox Posted 9 March 2008 Posted 9 March 2008 Well let's hope for all our sakes it's not too little too late and too slowly! Indeed... that I'll agree with you on!
Tilley Posted 9 March 2008 Posted 9 March 2008 We can't score after 20+ chances in a match. We have drawn against the likes of Scunny & Colchester. Lost to the likes of Burnley at home, Preston at home, Sheff Utd at home, the list could go on. I'm sorry but after years of we'll be fine with Adams, Levein, Kelly etc. I have to say this is the biggest trouble we have been in and i cannot see us getting out of it. I would LOVE it LOVE it if we stayed up. I am travelling to St Marys tues and i honestly think we will get a draw at best and the same goes for Saturday at WBA. We HAVE TO beat Sheff Wed, Colchester, Scunny, Sheff Utd & Hull. But tbh we never turn up against the 'little teams' so i have to probably say, the current situation we are in, we are going to be playing Northampton etc next season. Please prove me wrong Leicester. Because at the minute I'm very very worried.
Jack Posted 9 March 2008 Posted 9 March 2008 At this rate we are going down. I just can't see where we are going to get the goals from that we need to stay up.
Simi Posted 9 March 2008 Posted 9 March 2008 Sheff Wed's games in hand are against Cov and Sheff U...
FilboFox Posted 9 March 2008 Posted 9 March 2008 Sheff Wed's games in hand are against Cov and Sheff U... Crap... was hoping it'd be against Watford and Stoke... Never mind... if they draw them then we still have a good shout of staying up because of our goal difference... could be vital that.

Yep Megson did us a favour putting 10 men behind the ball. At least we have a good goal difference. Ecspecially compared to everyone else around us.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 9 March 2008 Posted 9 March 2008 Gotta say safety you never know what could happen but we CANNOT continue with good game/bad game but im just going to have faith in the lads and say safety. I cant help but feel that Soton is crucial though and no Ollie i wont calm down and have a sandwich!
Bernie's Love Child Posted 9 March 2008 Posted 9 March 2008 At this rate we are going down.I just can't see where we are going to get the goals from that we need to stay up. Agreed - if you have as many chances as we had yesterday and we still couldn't get it in the back of the net, we will go down.

Ecspecially compared to everyone else around us. I think Megson is given too much credit, he was manager for 7 league games and we conceded 5 goals, not a lot different to our season's average of 34 goal in 37 games. We also conceded 2 in 2 league cup games with him in charge. Gotta say safety you never know what could happen but we CANNOT continue with good game/bad game but im just going to have faith in the lads and say safety.I cant help but feel that Soton is crucial though and no Ollie i wont calm down and have a sandwich! If only that were so!
Daggers Posted 9 March 2008 Posted 9 March 2008 Can we avoid relegation for the 4th season on the trot No - and I've been saying it for most of the season.
Father Ted Posted 9 March 2008 Posted 9 March 2008 Can we avoid relegation for the 4th season on the trot this is the worst situation in those 4 years that we've been in with 9 games to go.Previously with 9 games to go we were: 2004/5 16th with 44 points - 3 points off relegation with a game in hand 2005/6 18th with 40 points - 8 points off relegation 2006/7 16th with 46 points - 9 points off relegation 2007/8 21st with 41 points - 2 points off relegation having played 2 games more than the 22nd placed team Even last season having not won for 10 games and with 3 games to go we were better placed being 5 points away from relegation prior to two successive away wins and we were shitting ourselves then! Are we going to lose our exclusive position in the group of 9 teams never to have played below Division 2? Will we no longer be able to proudly proclaim: And then there were NINE - Man United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Everton, West Ham, Tottenham, Newcastle and LEICESTER Will I be watching Division 3 football for the first time in 45 years of supporting Leciester City Football Club. Come on don't sit on the fence, be honest with yourselves will we survive, not should we but will we? I've only just realised, when comparing now with the last few seasons how bad we have been doing. I think it's time maybe to panic
filbertway Posted 9 March 2008 Posted 9 March 2008 Safety, theres around 10 teams that can still get relegated, I think we have enough about us to avoid the drop.
Maybes Posted 9 March 2008 Posted 9 March 2008 I thought we would survive but after yesterdays results im not so sure. I feel now that relegation looms.
davieG Posted 9 March 2008 Author Posted 9 March 2008 Safety, theres around 10 teams that can still get relegated, I think we have enough about us to avoid the drop. Nice Unfortunately that doesn't help as they are all thinking the same
syston_fox Posted 9 March 2008 Posted 9 March 2008 I think that whoever loses on Tuesday will go down. Both teams have been dragged right into this and one more knock of confidence could push them over the edge!
reynard Posted 9 March 2008 Posted 9 March 2008 Personally I think it will take a record number of points to stay up possibly as many as 55. We need 5 more wins and we need to keep our goals against column as low as possible. The 4 home games are key we need to win them all in my opinion. Interesting to see how the FA cup affect both Barnsley and Cardiff. It could work either way but both teams have a realistic chance of not only reaching the final but actually winning it as well.

I think we can afford to take a few risks on our goals against column in trying to score and win a few games. We're not going to stand any chance of staying up unless we start scoring!
