Rincewind Posted 20 January 2012 Posted 20 January 2012 Just had a couple of cheese and onion sarnies. I resisted the temptation to visit Granby Kebab shop.
Rincewind Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 Another couple of cheese and homemade tomatoe chutney may be on the cards. A woman that I see at the coffee morning with Citezens eye makes it. Its lovely.

FoxesAreBlue Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 About to try my first ever chicken vindaloo - never been that hot before (usually tikka masala like a pussy) but I love extra hot nandos so I'm diving in at the deep end - post dinner report to follow....

A woman that I see at the coffee morning with Citezens eye makes it. Its lovely. Make my own tomato chutney and give it to the old girls who work with the mother-in-law at Save the Children, well easy to make and they cant get enough of it, bless em ... Tis lovely with cold cuts and cheese . Its very satisfying to do something for these old girls who give their time and effort for charity.

It was very VERY hot and made my nose run, that said it was just like raw spice and not much taste like extra extra hot piri piri sauce. I do like spicy food and glad I tried it but I think given the cost of a curry these days in future ill have something less spicy and more tasteful if that makes sense.

Very flavoursome with a decent bit of heat
