Tilley Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 On the way home a bloke rang in saying he was in London at the weekend and saw MM with Bryan Robson and his agent walking round Harrods. It wasit? on talk sport or five live. Did anyone else hear it??
Bluenose76 Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 Graham Taylor Positive proof that the madness has taken over and some fans have snapped.
Thracian Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 Just thought I'd borrow some stats from Kettering Pete and Teblin on Talking Balls because they show in graphic detail how Holloway has peformed as a motivating manager, even having had the best part of two months with his own team and far more money to spend than at least half of his rivals. O'Neill P-223 W-85 D-68 L-70 Average points per game = 1.44 Adams P-111 W-41 D-32 L-38 Average points per game = 1.40 Levein P-72 W-20 D-26 L-20 Average points per game = 1.20 Compare this to: Ollie P-24 W-6 D-6 L-12 Average points per game = 1.00 As for win percentages: Micky Adams 36.93% Peter taylor 35 % Gary Megson 33.33% David Pleat 32.02 % Rob Kelly 32.81% Craig Levein 27.7% Ian Holloway 25% Never mind. I'm sure it'll work out in the end. After all, it's only a game.

I did post those sats in a thread somewhere on here too. not sure where But it is scary scary stuff, i didn't realise his record was so bad. Looking at those stas i'm suprised he wasn't sack a month ago.
LeeCovFox Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 Well, if he goes, its going to be Dowie. Personally, I would want either Joe Royle, who won't join having already turned the job down, unless of course he was holding out for Wigan, or Simon Grayson. Paul Ince would also be good. I think for me Grayson would be ideal, but if we go down, only Ince would consider it of the three. Then again, he would be in the same league as us, and already at a club with money to spend.
teblin Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 That answers any question to who should manage this football. He walked i guess, but he would've done no worse(prob better) than the others we have had if he had stayed. Adams was a victim of his own success and words really.

Toby or not Toby Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 On the way home a bloke rang in saying he was in London at the weekend and saw MM with Bryan Robson and his agent walking round Harrods. Fans forced him out unfortunately, it appears that being in the top half of the league was simply not enough for the majority. With the abuse I heard around me in the stands during his final weeks directed towards him, his resignation was inevitable. Unfortunately, especially for those who took glee at his departure, we have literally not been in the top-half of this league since.
lookwhaticando Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 Micky Adams 36.93%Peter taylor 35 % Gary Megson 33.33% David Pleat 32.02 % Rob Kelly 32.81% Craig Levein 27.7% Ian Holloway 25% Good old Nige' Worthington did better than all of them with a whopping 40% win ratio.
Ashley Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 We dont need a new manager. We just need to get through the rest of this seasons and stay up, which I think we can do.
teblin Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 Good old Nige' Worthington did better than all of them with a whopping 40% win ratio. We might have been in better shape if nige had got the job to begin with.
FilboFox Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 OLLIE OLLIE OLLIE OLLIE OLLIE!!! :scarf: :scarf: We don't need a new manager...

FleckneyFox Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 Is that finally someone agreeing :w00t: or just sarcasm <_< ?? yeah i think Micky would be a fine choice. maybe not until the summer though? He was unlucky to be sacked in the first place after the miracles he performed here. Didnt we draw loads of games in a row and he got sacked?
Finchy Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 Paul Ince is a great manager and i would love him to come here, but why would he?

He was unlucky to be sacked in the first place after the miracles he performed here. Didnt we draw loads of games in a row and he got sacked? He resigned mate, fans pressure got to him. I believe we were 12th in the table and we drew a load in a row after he left.

Leicester Rule! Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 PAUL STURROCK ..... from Plymouth on a serious note on someone who would come .... Billy Davies or Simon Grayson
Chrysalis Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 figures talk for themselves although I rate ollie for whatever reason it isnt working for him here and I would agree he should go. I still believe we would have been better of if adams stayed but he wont come back so my favourite candidate would either be ince or davies.
