New Manager?

Recommended Posts

For me it would have to be Paul Ince.

I can't see Billy Davies being a big success again, especially with poisonous Leicester.

Paul Ince is my number 1, Alan Shearer to get experience for Newcastle job, or Walshy, Taggs, Matt Elliott said other week he wanted to get back into football in coaching/manager role.

Say no more than my Avavtar people. Currently job hunting, League 1 at Yeovil on a Tuesday night would appeal to Jose.

In reality Ince or Walsh for me.

Don't think Ince would change clubs, MK Dons have money plus they are on for promotion in to league 1. Why come to Leicester with a Chairman that could potentially ruin his career before it even gets going! Well that's what Martin Allen thought when I bumped in to him down the job centre!

1) Keep IH

2) Billy Davies wouldn't drop down to L1.

3) Mandaric out? - He got us in this mess - not the managers.

Is a big drop from The Family Stand.

I don't there is genuinely anyone out there really. Get a foreigner in I reckon. Remember when Jean Tigana was going to be manager?? :crylaugh:

sacking IH isnt going to help! I dont want a new manager i like IH hes building a good sqaud, there is only one problem with out team right now, and thats the fact we cant fooking score! were creating chances, defending well, just weve been unlucky to not make the net ripple. Weve come up against fooking awesome goalkeepers, plain bad luck, nasty misses, wrong offsides, and pen shouts turned down in the last few games. ALL WE NEED TO DO IS FINISH TWO OR THREE CHANCES FFS HOW HARD IS THAT?! Holloway stays. A new manager will make no difference what so ever.

Especially not Ince, hes way to inexperianced for this job.

Well, if he goes, its going to be Dowie. Personally, I would want either Joe Royle, who won't join having already turned the job down, unless of course he was holding out for Wigan, or Simon Grayson. Paul Ince would also be good. I think for me Grayson would be ideal, but if we go down, only Ince would consider it of the three. Then again, he would be in the same league as us, and already at a club with money to spend.

Well my mate was having a job interview last Friday at The Hilton at J21 (no, not for the City job!) and guess who was sitting with MM, enjoying a cosy cup of tea....Dowie and Taggs, Fact.

Just thought I'd borrow some stats from Kettering Pete and Teblin on Talking Balls because they show in graphic detail how Holloway has peformed as a motivating manager, even having had the best part of two months with his own team and far more money to spend than at least half of his rivals.

O'Neill P-223 W-85 D-68 L-70 Average points per game = 1.44

Adams P-111 W-41 D-32 L-38 Average points per game = 1.40

Levein P-72 W-20 D-26 L-20 Average points per game = 1.20

Compare this to:

Ollie P-24 W-6 D-6 L-12 Average points per game = 1.00

As for win percentages:

Micky Adams 36.93%

Peter taylor 35 %

Gary Megson 33.33%

David Pleat 32.02 %

Rob Kelly 32.81%

Craig Levein 27.7%

Ian Holloway 25%

Never mind. I'm sure it'll work out in the end. After all, it's only a game.

Holloway's post window win percentage is 33%

Nothing fantastic, but by no means the worst we've had.

Still not as good at Nige.

I just heard (yes it takes a long time for news to make it down under) that Mancini is leaving Inter Milan....dont laugh, its happened before :)

It would mean only 2 more wins from 8 that would see us down.

Holloway's win percentage in the last three games is zero! And there's a case for saying we should have won the lot.

His win percentage for the last five games is 20% and had a Cardiff player not scored our goal it too would have been zero.

Mickey Adams a Leicester Legend. Thats a bit strong :giggle:

In honesty Adams inherited a Premier League Squad and didn't actually lose many players in that Summer, so he effectively started in the Championship with a Prem Squad, No real wonder why we were promoted under him. Problems began when he was allowed to sign players. He actually signed a lot of quality but he never knew who his best 11 was, what's more his substitutions were uninspiring and a lot of the time too late. No real wonder then, we were subsequently relegated back to the Championship. We lost a few players and more importantly Adams lost the players respect in the dressing room. That's why it never worked out for him, Not a crap Manager just not strong enough to manage City when he did.

IMO obviously

Anyway, all irrelevant, he's gone. We got Ollie, and we are going down fighting for survival.

I think we should try a manager from lower leagues, the big names would just come and take the money and f##k off again when a top club calls, how about Bobby Williamson from Chester? Surely he couldn't do any worse.

PAUL STURROCK ..... from Plymouth

on a serious note on someone who would come .... Billy Davies or Simon Grayson

At least has a good track record of cleaning up Ollie's mess!
