Hume Doubtful

And because of the way we use him I doubt he'll be missed at all.

Exactly. I still like Hume as a player but he's been dire on the flank for some time now. He doesn't have the composure or intelligence to play in midfield, nor the crossing ability, actually.

It's always a good time for big Ricky to join the team.

Big Ricky doesn't join team, team joins him.

(said in a weird foreign accent)

If he were fit I would have started Hume up front this weekend ahead of Fryatt. But unfortunately it doesn't look like he'll be able to make it so Fryatt it is again... :ermm:

Says on another thread that he's gone back to Spurs for treatment?

Although this probably happened weeks ago and we just weren't told.

as his Parent Club they would want to take charge of his treatment as they will be wanting to ensure his long term health isn't compromised by us and our short term needs, once he's fit he'll be back

He should be dropped, but when you're swapping positions left right and centre it affects your game.

he never stays upfront when he's played there so it shouldn't affect him that much anyway

I'm sure it's down to the fact that they have better facilities then us and he's probably living in a Leicester hotel anyway so moving back to London whilst injured seems the best option.

I honestly don't think that would make a difference, if they were just down the road he'd still go back as he's their player

Clive Clarke? Fair enough quite an extreme example, but we still sent him back. Well terminated the loan deal.

Mark De Vries? Leeds sent him back to us when he broke a toe (I think he broke his toe) then took him back a month or so later.

Can't think of any other examples at the moment.

I think people have an issue with Hume lately because he doesn't seem to be giving 100% like he did when he played up front, his body language seems to suggest that he doesn't like playing on the wing and sometimes he isn't giving it all he has (the fans always appreciated Hume as no matter how we were performing he would always give 100%), but really he should be giving his all no matter where he plays. I think he should be playing upfront

But i think it is unfair because i don't think he can wear himself out on the wing (and use his energy up) as he can upfront because on the wing he has to defend as well as create and attack but when he is upfront he can use his energy up as he doesn't have to think about defending, just attacking. Hume is a quality player who should be playing upfront or in an attacking midfield role behind the front 2.

I would love to see Hume and Fryatt get another chance playing upfront together as i think we have a better midfield now than we had last season, so they will create more for them.
